No great loss. I'd rather play Lambert at centre-back than Seaborne to be honest!

he needs it and anyway is not good enough for EPL, still a worry as he is our no.4, on a side note Arron Martin is getting nowhere near the first team at Palace

Hallelujah, it's all I can say. Barely League One standard, let alone Premiership standard

Did he shag your sister? Every time his name is brought up you seem to have only overly negative things to say about him.

I thought Martin was supposed to be some sort of defensive messiah to some people on here? Future England captain some said, what a bunch of jokers.

I think saintsfanforlife is a part time Plymouth fan as that would explain his dislike for Seaborne from when we purchased him from Exeter.
    I wish the lad well,
It is strange that after being selected to start at Everton and then got unfortunately crocked by a tackle by Hooiveld in the last training session before the game that he hasn't had that one chance since to play a prem game with our continued poor defensive displays.

Nope! Didn't impress me in League One, not gunna impress me 2 leagues up is he? Saying that, it's not personal and I wish him all the best - I gave him a chance when he signed.

Oh christ was this true? That was a close call

It was that goal when we played Peterborough that ruins him for me. Mackail smith destroyed him :(

He didn't look good in the Leeds game, but I put that down to ring rustiness, maybe the blow on the head has wrecked his confidence, a period of 90 minute games may make a difference, but somehow I don't think he is in anyway fit for Premier League football, happy to be proved wrong.

He's not good enough but we do lack numbers in that position at the moment.

Good luck to the lad. Needs games to get back to the player he was at the start of last
season. Will be great for him playing regular again. Prem a step too far at the moment
after the head injury he sustained

Now confirmed on Sky.Sky Sports understands Charlton have agreed a deal to sign Southampton defender Dan Seaborne on a month's loan.As revealed by Sky Sports earlier this week, Charlton were lining up a move for Seaborne as they look to bolster their defensive options.Chris Powell's side have struggled defensively this season and have conceded four goals in their last two outings against Middlesbrough and Cardiff.Seaborne has found himself down the pecking order at St Mary's this season with the former Exeter man yet to feature in the Premier League. The 25-year-old has only appeared three times in the Capital One Cup this season and, with Southampton now out of the competition, boss Nigel Adkins is happy to loan out Seaborne so that he can get some regular first-team football.Several Championship clubs expressed an interest in signing Seaborne, but Charlton have won the race for his signature.Seaborne is set to go straight into the Charlton squad for this weekend's clash with Bristol City..
