Led by you! Who the **** do you think you are? You pull up a young poster for supporting Celtic whilst showing a Poppy, I served with Celtic fans, young lads who did not understand or care about the religious or political aspects? Get the **** over yourself! Aaron McLean does he aim his comments at anyone you know? You started a thread about Jimmy Saville, Why?

If you are so disgusted by what Aaron tweeted, I suggest stop reading them. If not, then I suggest you stop being selective. Post a thread on how good it is to see a Hull City player openly celebrating his Christianity on twitter in his tweets to OMG of all people Aaron McLean.

I'm not aware of any impending move, but I expect he'll be on his way in the summer, if not before.

As an American he really shouldnt be using that word in social media. Perhaps he doesnt understand the connotation or doesnt care. You all seem to say **** all the time. That is about the worst thing here you could say around a woman. Good way to get slapped or never have sex again with your woman. I have to think if he was playing here and he said that there would be an apology. It would be a great way to start to lose female viewers and fans. I follow him and he does say stuff like that a lot and uses a lot of american slang in his posts. When I read his slang it just smacks me of someone who is trying to be something he is not. It would be like me using ****er or that cockney slang in movies. It neither makes sense for me to use it nor is it really appropriate.

Why are people on here on a consistent witch-hunt against City players over what they say on Twitter?

I'd noticed before but ive only noticed the word **** used once in a rap record - by Jay Z of all people and for all the cursing and street language used in Rap , it really is a word not used often in rap from the States -i Guess TWAT isnt used over your side either , but that is often a more jovial term

No offence but you americans are a bit soppy. Too easily offended (as a big sweeping generalisation).

When I was around school leaving age there was an American lad moved in down the road, he'd just come over. As soon as he saw what we were like he was well and truly shocked, then as you do he tried to start fitting in. It was probably most embarrassing but also probably the funniest thing I've ever witnessed first hand when I walked into a shop with him and he goes (and I quote) "I'll have 10 cigarettes please you ****ing ****, actually make that 20 bitch"

The concept of time and a place really does evade some <doh>

I went to school with a Canadian, and he spewed up over himself and seemed to go into some sort of a coma after drinking 2 cans of Carling.

    Definitely soft, these North Americans.

Its all context really and who you are around as well as where you are in the country. We are much larger in population and certain words are not considered offensive everywhere. Remember that we have states with as large of a population as all of the UK. What is said in the North is not necessarily said in the South. Also much like it is there I imagine socio-economic factors come in to play as well. Even in the same state language and what is considered acceptable can vary. This is partly the reason there is so much political correctness with the news, social media etc. Saying something in one place might be fine but not considered fine somewhere else.

I am also not really offended he said it. Someone before I posted said it was an american slang word and I was just commenting as an american. I dont know why people want to copy us. The history of the world, all the civilizations and cultures that have existed I got no idea why anyone would look at us and go, I want to act and talk like they do.

As far as the drinking thing goes. We can drink as much as anyone else. Your interactions have just been with lightweights.

I was pointing out the huge irony. And it's fact, they do not sell poppies in shops in the Catholic areas of Glasgow or respect the minutes silence.

Oh I should only be offended by misogyny or indeed any offensive comments if it's about people I know?

It's probably the biggest domestic news story this year. Do I need more reason that that?

Said whilst criticising someone else's posts on a social forum. Oh the delicious irony.
