I see his options as the likes of QPR, Southampton, West Ham, clubs where he is likely to be a started whilst not being turned away for his wage demands.

We're the best place for him for sure, he wouldn't get games for a club deemed 'bigger' than us and we're developing a good reputation now so Hodgson may pay attention.

Mathew DEBUCHY is still keen to realise his Newcastle dream. The France right-back was close to moving to St James’ Park in the summer, but the Toon were unable to strike a £4million deal with Lille., Debuchy, 27, wants to link up with pal Yohan Cabaye in the Premier League. Ex-French champions Lille are holding out for £6m and with first-choice right-back Danny Simpson still not able
to agree a new contract, Debuchy is once again a prime target for Alan Pardew when the transfer window re open
Debuchy said: “I fought for the Newcastle move, but our club president Michel Seydoux did not want me to go so
    I was left disappointed.
“I was regularly on the phone to Newcastle representatives and there were several offers.
“I’m focused on Lille, but hopefully there will be other opportunities because I want to go to Newcastle.”
This apparently is still how the player feels, could a deal still be possible? If we do not hang onto Simpson and Lille are not in such a strong negotiating position as previously was the case, would he still be Pards choice the vacant RB spot? Or do you think he will have moved on and have fresh targets in mind?
Personally, l would still like to see DeBuchy at the club.

Saw this in the paper today GITF. Seems he has his heart set on Newcastle. Lets hope they can agree a fee this time.

Seems Debuchy wants to come here, but it looks as if Lille's President Michel Seydou want's to get as much out of us as possible.

DeBuchy playing tonight for Lille in the CL against Bayern, just put in a lovely cross into the box.
Commentators mentioning that Lille are struggling to compete in this competition, due to having sold so many of their influential players.
Eg, Cabaye, Hazard to name but two, so the clubs hierarchy are under pressure not to sell anymore.
Guess we will see what happens in January.

If the price is right they'll sell.

Hopefully they are forced into the sale due to being knocked out of the competition.

Simpson was statistically the best right back in the league last year according to the Player Index, would be a shame for him to go as i think he has a lot more to give but if we got 3/4 mil for him would be a good deal, but with his contract coming to an end I fear we will lose him on the cheap which would not be good...

I think we'd get a maximum of 2m in January if we did try and sell. I don't think it would matter though, it would be better for him personally just to see his contract out and pick up a bumper one in the summer from promoted clubs or mid table sides. I think he would struggle to get much better than us because they all have top class right backs. Like to see him stay but sometimes clubs and players will never reach an accord.

We'll either lose him for nothing or he'll sign bar a good offer coming his way. I could see someone like Allardyce going for him. He would like how solid he is defensively. Be a bad move for Danny though because I don't think he'd develop his technical game the way Pardew has.
