    Thursday 8th November

    Kick Off 6pm

    Jan Breydol Stadion

    Build Up (courtesy of www.nufc.com).
Thursday sees United play the fourth game of their Europa League Group stage campaign, when they face managerless Club Brugge at their 29,000 capacity Jan Breydel Stadium.

The Belgians sacked their coach Georges Leekens on Sunday after his side lost in the league for the fourth successive time, losing 0-1 at home to Zulte Waregem.

Reserve team coach Philippe Clement takes temporary charge of a side who now sit in eighth position, having topped the table when they played at SJP recently.

Kick-off is at 7pm local time (6pm GMT) and United will be backed by an official allocation of 2,600 supporters, plus however many Tyneside Belgian impersonators manage to evade capture from the authorities.

Following an initial anti-English press release, the Brugge Police subsequently released a rather more fan-friendly communication (see below).

The boys in blue take credit (along with the Burgomaster aka Mayor) for "demanding" that FC Brugge allocate an total number of tickets allocated to NUFC is 2,600.

That's 230 more than NUFC made available to fans via their loyalty scheme - the 1,470 initial allocation boosted by 900 more, which makes 2,370 the way we count.

The additional allocation of 900 tickets were priced at £25 as opposed to £33 for the initial batch received,

Previous threats to arrest ticketless Newcastle fans in the vicinity of the stadium have now also been diluted to being "sent away". To the naughty corner, presumably.

    Squad
Injuries to Raylor and Perch rule them out... news is awaited of the other walking wounded from the weekend.

    ACS's View
I think we will play rather a strong side here. Colo should play so I can see Pardew going for the win. Brugge have lost 4 on the bounce domestically so are bang out of form. My prediction is a very bold 1-3 to the Toon.

After he impressed against Brugge at Home, I sort of expect Sammy to get a start

Yep, me too. Maybe Ferguson at LB to give Santon a rest?

I've also read that Rob Elliot has recovered from injury so I expect him to be on the bench at the very least.

Will Cisse be risked considering we are lacking if he goes down? I think we might see a double Ameobi trouble scenario! Marveaux or Gosling or someone shoved on the left, or maybe Obertan playing left and one of them playing on the right.

Isn't Gosling still injured? (He asks hopefully.)

<laugh> No idea! Haven't seen an injury update thread in a while, and I prefer not to seek out such stats, it'll only upset me!

Thought Obertan looked decent down the left last time, so just think he might be employed there again next time.

Simmo and Willo should be rested as they will probably be first choice in the coming games, Anita right back and maybe give Good a chance with Colo marshalling him at centre back.

I'd prefer Saylor to be ready, as he's our best CB available for PL games right now. His reading of the game and ability in the air is better than Willo's.

I'd personally play Saylor AND Willo against WHU. Perch is also injured, so we're gonna have to play at least one of them tomorrow.

I wouldn't risk anyone we will want to start on Sunday. We only need 3 points from our last 3 games to qualify in Europe and we are down to the nubbins in the Prem.

    Harper

    Good Colo Tav Ferguson

    Ober Tiote Abeid Marvea

    Ameobi 1 Ameobi 2

I think that will be strong enough to get the win. Even if it isn't, I would rather keep the first team safe for Sunday
