I'm sure you were all concerned. Power back on, Internet back on, replay of Chelsea game, great late goal and I have the pleasure to announce I will be with the Swans traveling away supporters at Southampton this weekend, flying out tomorrow. Looking forward sooo much to being with the Jack Army again. Bring it on!

Quite a frightening experience I would imagine. Did you stay put or evacuate to the hills?

Is Freehold New Jersey a place or just the type of house you own?

Freehold is a sprawling town about 56 000 population 60 miles south of New York and 14 miles from the coast. About 46% of New Jersey is forested and therein lies the problem, so many trees down taking power lines with them. Along the coast storm surge coupled with high tide and full moon have devastated the whole shore for up to 3 miles inland, it really is a mess. The once sandy beaches are now in peoples houses. We stayed put as we are away from the shore. Those near the coast were mostly evacuated, many are now homeless, around 30 killed and others missing. To make matters worse there is a cold blast of air coming down from Canada tomorrow.
Amazing response from power workers and Aid from all over the US, even a load of Amish have arrived to help with their carpentry skills. I read in the Daily Mail online that there was looting, just not true., it's more like the aftermath of the Blitz, everybody coming together, hoards of teenagers volunteering to help. NJ will be up and running again soon.
Be safe my friends and looking forward to Saturday.

Good to see that people can still pull together in times of trouble, NJ. Glad the worst of it missed you and hope you have a great visit.

Glad you're taking our cold weather. It's been a bit parky recently! Wrap up warm and hope all's well.
