Alright lads, time to get serious.
Don't post often on here (at all) but I feel like this is a really important issue. Real Oviedo (for those who don't know) are a team in the Spanish Segunda, and they're on the brink of disappearing. They need to raise 2m euros by the 17th November, and to help do this, they've started offering shares in the club. Foreign shareholders have been offered free tickets to games whenever they're in Asturias, and the shares cost less than £10 each. It's not much, but imagine the difference we can make if all of us on here buy just one share.
And if you're asking why you should, imagine if it was us who were going into extinction. We all know we could easily have ended up there at one point. The website to buy shares is here: http://www.realoviedo.es/yosoyelrealoviedo/ingles/index.html
Come on boys, let's get this noticed, spread the word, and we can have 30,000 geordies getting pissed in Spain watching a match in the sun for free.

EDIT: FAQ for anyone who wants it http://www.realoviedo.es/weboficial/index.asp?Pagina=vernoticia&IdNoticia=7956
Oh, and you get a certificate of ownership of the share as well. So you can, er, show off i guess?

Absolutely no difference at all mate, however, I do like to make money in shares so will research this now. If the signs are, they will come out of this and push to get back into La Liga then potentially this could be a very big money spinner.

Do you know how much of the 2m has been raised so far?

it's not about the shares to be honest mate, they're unlikely to ever take any value or ever be worth anything. in reality, it's about the sentiment, more of a charitable donation than anything. i think theyre around the 200k euros mark at the moment.

I'll consider it, very tempting. If I do it then I will have to buy one of their shirts at some point!
