Got to agree with Vince, 83 he needs the next transfer window at least. The players have let him down big style lets not forget that in the clamour to get shot of MON. Also see your point mate something needs to be done and soon or we will be in trouble. Had a look at some of the names bandied about and to be honest none of those will improve us. Our squad is ****e that is where the problem lies.
I know that Vince and I would give him to time, I really would BUT there's no sign of improvement or that we are going to get out of this mess. To me, he looks like a man who knows he's on a slippery slope and cant pull himself out. Football really has moved on and I can't emphasis that enough, British players aren't as effective or as technical as the foreign players, generally, and O'Neill is still persisting with old fashioned football, and very little technical play. For me, he was a great manager but he's been out of the game to long now and it's passed him by.
The problem with the transfer window in January is that ALL teams are looking to improve their squads, not just us, and secondly we will be firmly entrenched in the bottom 3, so who would want to play for us in a relegation fight?
Not just that like I have already stated, O'Neill also plays **** loads of money on average players. The more I think about it, O'Neill could cripple us if we persist on giving a manager who is doomed for failure a big transfer kitty.
