    Hi all,

Hope you don't mind me sticking up a daily thread.

    1.50 Exeter Gas Line Boy

Gas Line Boy won really well the last day and I'd expect another bold show tomorrow. The penalty is definitely a problem against what may be a decent Nicholls horse but I think the relative unease in GLB's price before the race the last day leads me to believe the yard thought he was either unfit or overmatched. If that's the case he may improve a few pounds for the run and if that's the case it will take a very decent early season novice to beat him. At a forecast 5/2 I think I'll take the chance.

    2.20 Exeter Landscape

A race Nicholls farms, this horse ran okay on UK debut at Cheltenam LTO and will improve. I'd expect a win and the forecast 13/8 is acceptable.

The best races take place later in the card. I'd expect Cue Card to beat Menorah and Hinterland to beat an average bunch but no bets.

Good luck Bob, welcome to the forum.

Viztoria runs in the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte and I think she will win, put in one of the most impressive 2yo performances of the season last time and looks a really nice filly.

Knockgraffon King could be worth a punt at 7/2 against Dedigout, I expect him to improve a lot for fences and although Dedigout should turn out the best horse in the race, he will be seen at his best off a real gallop and he might just be beatable here.

thanks for the thread, mainly because i have some horses in common which is why i like looking at this thread to see if i have the same picks.

i also have in my book (which is not spent money) gas line boy EXE 1:50. the hobbs/johnson combination used to be a good one but i'm not sure i've seen it yet this season. the horse has also gone the distance.

landscape EXE 2:20 i wasn't sure and went for billy twyford/regal one instead.

and i have knockgraffon king 12:55 PUN but the odds would be no good for me at ew.

cue card would be good 2:50 EXE, but in a small field of good horses i'm not that great at picking the winner. what are the thoughts on webbery's dream? i don't know much about it.

edit to say, sorry i didn't thank people for this thread before but a good chance to say for reasons above i find it very useful to underline in pink horses i share with forum members, so thanks all on these threads. oh, and sorry it has to be in pink, the forum horses biro writes in pink

Welcome to the forum Bostonbob <ok>

Getting a bit bored of these small field races so had a long, hard look at the lucky last at Exeter, an 11-runner handicap hurdle, and have gone for a speculative e/w dabble on Architrave (10/1 BOG). Tim Vaughan's Hernando gelding put up some nice performances as a juvenile before being outclassed behind the likes of Sam Winner and Zarkandar, giving him an official rating of 136 at one stage. Last season just didn't happen for him at all and a series of handicap defeats saw his rating plummet to today's level of 113. His first run this season came on October 11th in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Exeter on heavy, where he finished a close-up 3rd behind Pericoloso and Willow's Saviour. Whilst neither of those has particularly advertised the form since, Architrave did stay on well that day and today tackles half a mile further on better ground. I think the trip could be the making of him and a chance is taken that today will be his day.

Good luck as ever folks <ok>

I am really looking forward to seeing Menorah run today (2:50 Exeter). I think he has plenty of ability but his jumping last season was poor, although there was marked improvement at aintree.

Yeah, me too. Giving 3lbs to Cue Card is a tall order, and the 3-1 isn't really all that tempting, but I think he can give the Tizzard star something to think about.

I always like Haldon Gold Cup Day - it really does always feel as though the jumps seasonproperly gets going now.

I am struggling to see beyond the 2 big favourites in the big 2 races today though - CUE CARD & HINTERLAND. Possibly there is a bit of value with the Nicholls horse - Edgardo Sol, but I still expect Cue Card to be too classy for him and Menorah.

Just taken a quick glance at the other races. Assuming That'll do Boy needed the run the other week at Cheltenham and will be hard to beat in the 3.50.

Morning all,im a member the timeform-betfair-racing club that owns landscape, here's what they think about it's chances

    Updated Monday 5th November

'As expected, Landscape is amongst the entries for the novice hurdle at Exeter tomorrow and, provided he's learnt from his experience at Cheltenham, it looks a pretty good opportunity in all honesty. Paul's views on the race are:-'

'I made no secret of the fact that he was pleasing me at home prior his debut at Cheltenham last month, so in the circumstances you might assume that I was disappointed with his sixth there, even though I did say he would need the run. But I was pleased with the effort as he took time to warm to his ask, and Ruby got off and said he only really picked up from three out. He could need further than this in time, as he was a decent middle-distance horse on the Flat, but I expect him to be much sharper for the Cheltenham run. This looks a good opportunity.'

Nice single and double with Cue Card for me,good luck to all having a bet

Greetings. I am still waiting for an update on the 2.50 at Exeter....

Meanwhile I will be playing the Placepot there today as follows as long as 8 runners stand their ground in the first race...

    1.50 ATLANTIC ROLLER
    2.20 LANDSCAPE / BILLY TWYFORD
    2.50 MENORAH / EDGARDO SOL
    3.20 HINTERLAND/ PECKHAMECHO
    3.50 THAT'LLDOBOY/ WIDE RECEIVER
    4.20 PYLEIGH LASS / ARCHITRAVE / SANGFROID

48 bets at whatever stake you like...whilst the 2.50 could reward a decent Dutching bet !

Nicholls should certainly enjoy a good day there.

Additional info passed to me on bets I won't be having personally....

1.10 Southwell Prince Rakan Each Way

5.30 Wolverhampton Sandy Lane Each Way

Good Luck if you play !

I might add that if the first race is reduced to seven runners I would include Gas Line Boy also making it 96 bets at whatever you choose as the Placepot is there to be won today !

Quick question to everyone - why are the Irish cards always up later than the UK ones? I wanted to look at the weekend cards on sporting life but at the moment they only have the UK cards up for both Saturday and Sunday. Do declarations work differently in Ireland???

Cue Cards form is better than I thought

first start over fences beats Michael Flips and Silvinaico Conti (who I accept needed the run and has improved)

Unseated second start early in the race

went down by a short head to Bobs Worth at Newbury (was conceding 7lbs)

beat For Non Stop 4 lengths (conceding 7lbs)

beaten by an absolute beast in the Arkle pulling 22 lengths clear of the 3rd (Menorah)

receiving 3lbs from Menorah today. He should win this.

Same for me, also thrown in gillingham and Exeter in the footy, pays about 21/1

Agreed RV but he unseated not that early (5 out) according to RP. He was conceding 5lb to Grand Crus and is described as 'travelling well'. He's an underrated horse.

Seen Sky bet go 17/2 on Cue Card, Hinterland and That'lldoboy. They claim it's 'enhanced' odds. If it is then it sounds good, all 3 have a fantastic chance. I'm on the Barney Rubble though. Gutted it's on RUK, bold shout but does anyone know of any streams?
