OK. This is a horses to follow thread but you'd never know it. Needless to say I'll be clearing it out. I could re-instate some posts under a more relevant thread if it helps.

That's clearly not what Mollsrob, Merciful Hour, Indy Gal, Write To Me and Ghazina thought.

Joking aside though let's hope she is OK and becomes one to follow when fully recovered. This isn't the first and won't be the last of the "horses to follow" to be unplaced, especially if I put one up.

That reminds me, I did put up Baby Strange after a promising run at Goodwood? after which it ran a few crap races. Bloody thing won last month at 14/1 and I didn't even realise until I saw it entered for today, when it ran another crap race.

I might as well add my own rubbish comment before I tidy up this thread to have some bearing on the the purpose of the thread.

If every time a trainer decides not to run his/her horse in a race, for whatever reason, he/she was accused of bottling it, there are quite a few bottlers around.

Yes I'll be removing this as well which, I suppose makes me a ****ing idiot <doh>

Top Class....Aidan is adamant Camelot is the best he trained and he would have beaten Fame And Glory far easier than Sea The Stars did !

That is all we need to know !

Dexter....WLYT did nothing of the sort on the Dutching bet scenario as I was talking about placing the same stake on each horse...not putting hundreds of pounds on a 10/11 shot and covering it with a small amount on a 5/1 shot or whatever !

You really must stop exaggerating !!

Anyway...keep following his JOB DONE tips...I'm sure they are making him a profit !!!!

Dutching bets as far as I am concerned is when both horses are odds against and I will be certain of a profit no matter how much I put on them !

I have been playing this game for over 40 years now.....you may be a numpty...and judging by your JOB DONE comments that may have some credence....I,however,am not !!

It is really best explained by using an example. Let’s assume you want to place a bet on three horses in a race and you are using decimal (European odds).

Horse one is priced at 18.0 – you stake £20.41 to win

Horse two is priced at 12.0 – you stake £30.61 to win

Horse three is priced at 7.5 – you stake £48.98 to win

Your total stake is therefore £100.00.

Now look at your potential earnings should any of those horses win. If any one of horse one, two or three wins the race then you will collect £367.38 and your profit therefore is £267.37.

    You follow!!

Your original comment mentioned backing a 10/11 and a 5/1 shot in the same race !

Moving the goalposts as it suits you are you ?

Well the way I have played my Dutching win bets over the years have been very successful especially the mega ones backing both Denman and Kauto Star at 2/1 each of two for the 2008 and 2009 Gold Cups though I lost in 2010 when Imperial Commander spoilt the party !

However, overall my methods do work...otherwise I would not have been able to put my daughters through private school and university !

    You follow ???

(No need for capitals in my case as I have nothing to prove here.......you on the otherhand.......)

    ----------------------

Not really, i can do that faw ya as well

    1.91 @£75.85 returns £144.88

    6.00 @£24.15 returns £144.88

thus givin ya a profit o £44.88 to a £100 stake if either wins

Nae goalposts moived just simple maths
