I love the Sunderland mentality. Its a case of "we're ****e, lets cling to Newcastle getting beat at Liverpool". Nevermind eh.

Still walked away with a point, and managed a few efforts at goal (this is great for supporters morale, you should try it).

You're not wrong about efforts at goal, but you blagged a point there, you jammy buggers. How Shelvey missed that sitter is beyond me...

Nah we deserved a point. Typical Rodgers side, pass pass pass but don't threaten. We defended well and once you take the Shelvey chance out of it they didn't create much. Suarez's wasn't even a chance, just pure genius from the little twat. We had as many genuine chances to score.

Deserved a point all day long in my opinion. They went to Liverpool and nullified them giving them very few clear cut chances. Until the Suarez goal Newcastle looked comfortable and I couldn't see the scousers getting back into it.

On a side note, how bad is Gerrard now? He's finished in my eyes

We are far more clinical than you are. We did deserve a point. If's but's and maybe's but I think we would have won had we not lost Ba and Cabaye to injury early on in the second half.

Any word on their injuries? Those two are central to your team.

Each to their own. You watched a different set of games to me and I'd suggest it's probably you who needs a reality check. All just opinions. I didn't see you create much clear cut. And to be honest your own fans and manager's assessment has said as much. I also can't recall many Liverpool chances bar the Shelvey one. Sure they had more of the ball and looked the more threatening side in terms of who was attacking, but I never really felt as though we were about to concede. e got blocks in at the right and restricted them. What you have to udnerstand is we intended to play on the break and play exactly the same way we did against Swansea under Rodgers. If it works, why change.

Those two are not serious but by all accounts Perch is. If you'd asked at any time during his career here up until last season I'd have said "so what". But the lad has been first class for us and we'll miss him badly.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cabaye and Ba rock up against WH.
