I am interested to see everyone has us down to lose against Liverpool, who have been fairly sporadic so far this season, plus this is one game Adkins will be desperate to win.
Premier League West Brom V Southampton = 1-2 win Premier League Southampton V Swansea = 2-0 win (clean sheet, yahoo) Premier League QPR V Southampton = 1-3 win Premier League Southampton V Newcastle = 1-2 lose Premier League Southampton V Norwich = 3-1 win Premier League Liverpool V Southampton = 2-1 lose Premier League Southampton V Reading = 3-1 win Premier League Southampton V Sunderland 2-1 win Premier League Fulham V Southampton = 1-1 draw Premier League Stoke V Southampton = 2-0 lose The Saints are stayin up, the Saints are stayin up. Fingers crossed Faith in ADKins and all that. Happy clappin gloves well and truly on. 23 points tally and out of the bottom 3 by a fair way. The test will be after this run.
Lets hope that teams think we are an easy target now, let them come with attacking formations. Feeling pretty positive that we will start outscoring once Gastons back and with Corkie coming back that should tighten us up. All November games are winnable, Liverpool should not scare us.
Sorry to disappoint all you Saints fans but I am coming down to St Marys next week for three points! Should be a cracking game of football.
Doesn't sound like you need many more, perhaps you would like to donate that set of points to ourselves.
Ive got 14 points. West Brom - Draw Swansea - Win QPR - Draw Newcastle - Lose Norwich - Win Liverpool - Lose Reading - Win Sunderland - Draw Fulham - Draw Stoke - Draw This would be amazing if we could do this. I think it would put us a few spaces out side of the relegation zone.
West Brom - draw Swans - draw QPR - win Newcastle - loss Norwich - win Liverpool - loss Reading - win Sunderland - win Fulham - loss Stoke - loss 14 points in 10 games, 18 through 19 overall.
We have a similar thread on KUMB and the general feeling is that we will only manage 6-7 points. If you can manage 15+ points from these then West Ham and Saints may well be looking at a very similar tally come the turn of the year.
Shall we just join hands now and run into the sunset I shall be very magnanimous now...as long as Saints stay up, I don't mind if WHU do as well.
Interesting to see most predicting a win v Swans and I understand why. But that said, we've improved away from home recently and were fantastic v a full strength Man City side away (only a Tevez wonder goal did for us in the end) and beat Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield in the Cup where Gerard, Sterling and Suarez played all of the second half. My only concern is our keeper - Vorm is out injured. But it'll be tough for both teams imo. I'm hopeful of nicking it 0-1. Good luck tonight.
The only reason the forum seems happier is because GMI is banned. I was always happy! I am seriously hoping the Swansea game was the turning point, and has finally given the lads back some confidence
I was getting despondent that we seemed unlikely to win a game and pressure was on Nigel. I am happier now because it seems Nigel is not under immediate threat of sacking, he seems more cheerful, and we showed on Saturday that we can win if we cut out those little errors. On saturday, I will be back to a nervous wreck, but lets hope 3 points lifts the spirits again.
