I did some scouting work for a few local sides in the Leicestershire area, its a hard gig to get into but I have a few contacts, so I suppose you never know. Its something I'd be interested in doing. Im looking forward to seeing the young lad Mellis play tomorrow, was surprised Chelsea let him go tbh, he looks very tidy and chips in with a few goals too. Should keep Amos on his toes!
According to this we are trying to get Brady on loan. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2227137/Robbie-Brady-Hull-loan-target.html
No need to slate Brady or anyone else that we had on loan before, as they haven't played under SB yet. Same as Simpson and McShane at the beginning of the season and look at them now, 2 of the first on the team sheet. If Bruce thinks the new loanies have something he can work with, give them a go.
When they're all fit Bruce, Chester and Faye are our starting line up for the first half of this season. McShane is only being selected ahead of Cooper so I wouldn't say first name on the teamsheet.
Another source linking us with Brady. http://www.manchesterunited.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=298594
If McShane keeps performing like he is he will stay in the team I think. Bruce has shown this season, you perform, you stay. He can't be any fairer than that. He does not try to "tweak" the team to get better, like the managers that make ****ups
I never suggest players because basically everyone else on here knows more than I do but I think this is a player we could pick up cheep for decent value. Vitor Gomes Pereira Junior He is on loan to the LA Galaxy from São Paulo in Brazil. He reminds me of Koren with the his attempts outside the box but he is a much more physical player from what I have seen. According to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/juninho/leistungsdaten-vereindetail/spieler_85363.html his value is only 250,000 pounds. From what they have been saying on TV São Paulo wants to sell him or loan him out again, so he is available. Perhaps someone else in the US has seen him play and can either shoot me down or agree he might be worth a go.
I know someone - a Barnsley fan coincidentally - who does coaching for Grimsby, and had an offer to go to Bolivia for 3 months on a scouting trip. He turned it down to stay at home with his bird. What a pillock.
Yet we have 4 more strikers who all seem to be chipping in with goals and only one left back whose legs have gone. I'd like to see Rosenior start at LB but if him or Elmo get injured then what? Besides, if Proschwitz clicks like we're hoping he will, we won't need a loan striker so much. Prioritise
Prozzy was brought in to partner fryatt. Also Bruce has announced he wants a loan striker so yeah I guess Bruce has prioritised his loan targets.
Is the Brady thing inside knowledge or just going along with the press who have put two and two together?
I'd rather have Rosenior at LWB than Brady. I know that one of the main reasons Brady was dropped under Barmby was because of his poor work rate and reading of the game when the other side were attacking. He may have made one or two appearences for Man U there in pre-seasons or something but can't see this as changing much. Think the lad would leave us exposed often, goals such as Boro away last season were his fault, and that was when he had an attacking role. As cover he could be alright, possibly as he could play both sides as well? Would love Palacios and Campbell or Meyler and Campbell but with both getting occasional appearences we may be depending on other clubs transfer dealings before we can do our business. Never a good position to be in.
I do have some inside knowledge but the management are not very vocal with their plans so sources of info are not easy to come by. This person is adamant Meyler signs this week.
you'd think Brady will be a better player now, he came on for ROI & Man U recently.. only one thing for certain any striker won't be from LFC - they only have one!!
