Hatem Ben Arfa for me....closely followed by Tiote. He gave the ball away countless times today and was awful against WBA. Not sure why, but its not happening for him this season. So far anyway...

OMG Hatem ???? you are crazy!!!!!!

    he also got an assist

he didn't have his best game, however he really tracks back now.

If you ask me Jonas has been ourr worst because Pardew has started trying to convert him to a CM player which he is ****e at.

Newbie can I ask if you have eyes that point in different directions?

You can't say he's our worst player this season just because he didn't play AS great today. At the beginning of the season it was all 'What would we do without Ben Arfa?'. We're massively dependent on him, don't change views because of one game.

Ben Arfa must put the fear of god into the opposition, he is no longer marked by one opposition player, as soon as he has contact with the ball, he is instantly surrounded by at least three oppositon players.

I've noticed this, however going forward there must surly be acres of space that none of our players get into when he's attacking.

I'm not changing my view after one game, I've been saying it for a few games. WBA he was terrible, so what if he has 1 or 2 assists? He is crap tracking back and is living off of last season IMO...that's all it is though, mt opinion.

I really being serious here. Ieague games who has been worse?

    Clear WUM. <laugh>

HBA has been poor the past two games mind, despite the assist today. He alone gave Liverpool 5-6 very good counter attacks as he didn't want to pass.

By the way, I find your comment poor craic...my eyes point in the same direction. I also hold a season ticket and my opinion is based on watching the lad for 90 mins, not highlights on the TV.

Newbie? You'll find I haven't posted for a very long time but have been member for a year. Does that make my opinion worthess?? Quite patronising if you ask me..but you probably aren't asking me, me being a 'newbie'

Listen I find your opinion ridiculous, however I apologise as you're entitled to it.

I'd prefere Ben Arfa to play further up the pitch and that as a team we forced the issue more nut since the end of last season weve got stuck in the habit of either

punt the ball up and lose it
pass slowly around until the other team has built the roman wall infront of goal and lose the ball.
give it to benny and hope he produces some magic but dont commit enough forward with him.
hope jonas can win a free kick and then punt the ball and lose it

I'm not in the business of blaming our best players

    'listen mate, just **** off'???

    'clear WUM''??

What has this forum come to? You can't express an opinion without being attacked?

Answer this...how many time has he given the ball away? How many time does he choose NOT to play the ball when he should?

I do think Jonas has been our least effective player this season. He's stopped being the roving winger he once was, beating men on the outside and setting up goals for Cisse. He seems to have lost his pace and any kind of strength, and just throws himself to the floor under any contact. Ben Arfa meanwhile has looked like one of our biggest threats. The problem is other teams have picked up on it and he's being closed down by 3 or 4 players the moment the ball is played to him. Even today he proved when he's being marked out of it, he can still produce moments of brilliance, beating 2 players to get that cross in for Cabayes goal.

Nor am I..but he's not our best player so I need not worry.

Sorry I should have mentioned that Jonas has been horrid as well. Colo has stood out, Krul since his return. Ba has been class mostly, Santon decent, even Perch.

I wouldn't blame him for any result, nor have I tried to. I am saying I think he's been poor. He gives the ball away and makes the wrong decisions more often than not.

Jonas is not a cm player and that it due to tactics.

Ben Arfa has been class for most games he has played in and you pick him out after two fairly bad ones???? today if he hadn't skinned 2 players and found cabaye we would have lost mate. it was the only chance we created all game.

Listen you must have an extra chromosome or something but whatever.

Sorry if you're being stupid, you said it, not me.

This wasn't meant to be a debate about Ben Arfa, but a discussion about who has been our poorest player. Now having had someone jog my memory, I'd like to change my opinion (if allowed) to Jonas. He's been piss poor!

I also think Tiote dangerously messes around with the ball for no reason and miss-placed many a pass this season - you're right...the team have been crap.

If teams gang up on Ben Arfa then what must they do to Suarez? Who seems to wriggle his way into positions? As much as I hate the prick!

I think, if you looked at Ben Arfa's game vs Sunderland again, not only would you change your tune, you'd change the lyrics <ok>

And that's ignoring the previous games where he was class as well... Aston Villa goal, anyone?

Fair enough he can skin a player or two.

Imagine how his stats would rack up if he tracked back constantly and released the ball at the right time, instead of trying to beat the whole team then losing it
