Very creditable performance from Excelebration, Rushed onto a plane after a 14 day turn around in the QE2, Running left handed for the first time, Hampered turning in and got going too late. Not sure it would have made any difference because Wise Dan is a smart horse and that was a good performance there...
Personally i dont think Frankel even with all of his ability would have handled the turns.In any case even if he did it wouldnt have been had a stroll in the park against WD.
On the other hand he may have handled the turns brilliantly and annihilated the opposition like he did to all the rest. We will never know!
I agree RV. No point at all in starting an argument. Just acknowledging that being a course record it would have been no stroll in the park for our super star. Also acknowledging that the question will be raised somewhere without a doubt. And also without doubt, it will be completely pointless because we will never know. It will be interesting to see what Timeform make of that race. I think that could set them a bit of a headache.

If I had my way I would ban any trainer running their horse on Lasix or any other drug. That should finish off the Breeders Cup. Europe should get together and arrange their own Breeders Cup (funded jointly) to be run in UK, Ireland, France, Germany, ?Italy, changing the venue each year. Invite the Yanks to the new World Championships.
