No it's not. Seriously, great progression for you lot but in a way it's a blessing to be out of this particular cup (not a view I ascribe to on principle but I'm being realistic). We played our reserve side, saw a few players do quite well, and saw why others should never play for us again (Cole!).
I suppose it will be helpful for you to concentrate on your relegation battle Really though, do you think Ro'd'gers underestimated Swansea not to be starting with Suarez, Sterling and Gerrard? He obviously wanted the win to have introduced them in the second half. As has been pointed out almost everywhere - surely if the idea was to rest them, it would have been better to start them, get in front then take them off at half time rather than fetching them on and possibly taking them into extra time?

I imagine he threw them on because he personally didn't want to lose, or to show some sort of ambition... or because, frankly, we have no-one else! The fact we made 9 changes (keeping Jones and Allen) shows how we viewed this fixture regardless of substitutions. Keep going this way and you will be. Football goes in cycles... we haven't got a divine right to win or expect to finish high up the table... but there are signs things are slowly improving. We need to give Brendan even a portion of the financial backing Kenny and Comolli pissed down the drain.

Got to disagree REV, by bringing on Suarez and Gerrard he showed that this was important or why/play risk them? SA9Jack is abso right imo and you know who messed up bigstyle .

Do I need to listen to this radio thing? Been avoiding it. Re the subs... they're obviously secondary to the starting team. And we literally have no-one else but yes it was a sign of at least reasonable intent.
