MH is a stuborn man, he won't change his way of thinking! the problem with him is simple, he lives in the past and not the present...He sees himself as a footballing icon from days gone by (which he was) and thinks he knows best and everyone else ain't gotta clue! However I think he will get it right, regardless if i think he's not the guy to take QPR forward! TF will not sack him even if we get relegated, which we won't. we have a good squad and a top ten finish is on the cards, just wait and see...Oh Northy bye the way I ain't pissed! ain't had drink in two weeks, Nearly finished my antibiotics (HB Tummy infection) so watch out mate
Very true. He said last season we wouldn't be in this position and now we're last. He said we have depth, a few injuries and we're all over the place. That nose of his just gets longer and longer. I've been a big supporter in the past but I only see him now as a major disappointment. Easily the worst we've had from a results v resources perspective. A big win on Sunday will change that though.
A lot of people here taking it for granted we'll beat Reading. Going on form and their win over us already I don't think its as straight forward as people are hoping. Reading are scoring goals - we struggle to do that I think it'll be a tight game and a draw
Cannot believe any real QPR supporter could even say "I hope we lose", wash your mouth out, I hope we win and win well and kick on from here.
Until the final whistle, with hopefully a win with 3 pts on the board, I will likely be totally stressed (as usual), even if at some point in this game we happen to be 4-0 up.
When that bloke did that skydive recently, millions and millions were watching and more than half of them tuned out when his parachute worked. Maybe this guy is kind of like that. He wants to see a loss and wants to watch some qpr fans having heart attacks. Of we go up 2-0 he'll probably turn it off.
We have the home advantage, we are the bookies favourites to win and Reading had a hard game in every wich way on Tuesday. Against that, I worry about Pogrebynak's goal scoring ability and the fact that they beat us in the blasted cup thing already. Tight game or open game with lots of goals? So long as we win, I won't mind either.
Why? Its a perfectly valid opinion if he believes a new manager would get 10-15 more points than Hughes. I also believe Hughes going is better but Ill have to want a win since it looks like he stays no matter what.
Benitez would be an instant improvement. Have a look at the list. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/qpr-specials/next-permanent-manager Theres some right ****e out there like Shearer, Holloway, McLeish, Ince but Id take most of the rest over Hughes, in fact it seems the foreign ones are the best by far. Moyes is the only decent British manager on that list.
Totally agree. Huge pressure on him now. A win will be massive but proper team selection and a positive approach will go a long way to appeasing the fans.
Thats what gets me, I wont complain if he puts out the right team and attitude but are denied a win when they score off the refs arse. However I will be pissed off if we play the ultra negative, boring stuff and try to keep it tight at the back while hoping to sneak a set piece. This will only lead us to handing them control of the game and getting the win because we didnt even test their hopeless defence.
Well it'll be the first win on Sunday for one of our teams! Always takes Hughes's teams the much mentioned ten games to get going, let's hope it's the tenth time lucky for us
Sorry but a draw is just not good enough. If we don't win I fear for the worst, 3 points from 30 just does not bear thinking about. For all the Hughes lovers on here that say that there are still 28 games and 84 points to play for......if we get 3 points every ten games......well you guys do the maffs. Errrr that would be 4 points from 30 maybe I should do the maffs LOL, but you get my drift.
I never take any game for granted and I am very cautious about what I predict. What you need to take in to consideration is the teams/position/how they are playing/ and where. Ok both teams have not won but we have not let Arsenal reserves put 7 goals past us? Reading really should have lost last week to Fulham as well? (Once again they conceded 3 goals). Agree they are scoring but have the slowest defence around. If our attack and pace cannot score past them then something is seriously wrong. We need to defend like we did against Chelsea and yes Arsenal. Reading are really down at the moment and we need to take full advantage. We are the home team and when we get behind the team our stadium atmosphere is second to none. Seriously I am not worried about them and we are a much better team now than the one that lost in the cup to them.
