Amos hasn't cost us a game so we can't really complain about him

Does it really matter. Fact is he hasnt let us down. You would have to look at one or two other players first before him when we have lost games.

Well If it helped us get over the line then why not ? But Myhills big problem was that he did not command his box.

Lets see how Amos is doing by January before wanting a new keeper in. He aint doing bad so far and his mistakes have not proved that costly.....so far.!!

I would be surprised to see Steve Bruce bring in another keeper. Amos was his choice and I think he will stick with him. He's definitely got potential and I hope he proves his critics wrong in the coming months.

Its funny to read who some of his critics are. Myhill had critics all his City career and did not do that badly here.
Ashbee another. We could have Messi in the team and yet some would still come on here having a go at him.

Amos is a young kid who is doing better than i thought he would do. Brucies concerns lay further up the field.

Not sure about that but he is doing OK. Room for a lot of improvement but I think he will improve as the season progresses. Hopefully he can have a settled back 3 in front of him so we can get some consistency.

Yes and that only comes from playing games. What i like about Amos is he commands his area well and if he cannot catch it he punchies it well.

He big weakness as was proved @ Middlesboro is that he does spill shots from time to time. But what keeper hasn't at some point ? Thankfully Amos cannot be blamed for a lost game.....so far.!!! I think he will improve as we go along. Confidence is key.

I wrote 'seriously though' after that statement sorry if you didn't pick up on that, of course I'm not daft enough to have an opinion like that!

Theres no keeper in the league that doesn't make mistakes its just that some get it highlighted more than others. Amos is OK for me.

Blackpool, near-post. ****-all to do with McShane, who narrowed the angle after two others laid out the red carpet and the oppositionb finished it off with more than a little class! Also Boro second goal spill - it was lucky we later gained a fluke advantage. Bristol counts also. I think someone pointed out that Jakupovic has only just recovered from injury.

To answer the original question, I think the lad will work out OK and he will play a big part in our promotion run. Give him space to grow and learn; he'll never stop doing that! He seems to have a very good attitude and that is very important between the sticks - he will change to a good coaches calls and we have a good coach (at last!)

It was great to see Matt Duke having a great game the other night - good luck to him!

Reading this thread has improved my hopes for Amos,a little bit. Iv'e said before though,it's not a good idea to have a young keeper learning his trade,in a team that's seriously chasing promotion. I'd love an experienced keeper to join us. I'd have been very happy to have Ad Basso, without the injuries.

Amos is no Gulasci, yet I don't feel he's as good as Mannone. He's made some good saves, yet has being guilty of making some errors. Though what keeper doesn't? We all loved Bo, yet he was guilty of making some mistakes every now and then.
