Slow progress is all I'm expecting from MM. We are not too far behind and have plenty of time to turn this season around and finish safely. Keep it simple and play players in their favoured positions, strengthen in January and we should be ok. Have to make sure we take points off the teams closest to us in the table.

All i will say is a lot of sunderland fans have a lot of time for mick mccarthy, did a great job for us but was not given enough backing when we got promoted ............. I would personally have loved to have seen what he would have done with the money we threw at roy keane ......... I think hes a great signing for you now at this time ............ Step back. Take off rose tinted glasses and see where you are ( where we were when he came) ............ I ask any decent ( i mean proper ipswich fan who goes to games) to name any manager better equipped than mick to sort you out ....................
