Just came across this article, quite a good read:- http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/Blog/index.php/2012/07/25/the-mystery-of-adam-johnson/
I disagree that he’s not good enough for City’s team, I think he is. But only when he’s playing well. Have to disagree with this
I don't think he is. Look what's happened to Scott Sinclair since he signed for them. After a cracking 1st season in the Prem he got an England call up back in August. Now he's a forgotten man. The problem for Jonno at City was they never play with wingers, they set up a lot more narrow in midfield!
Johnson was very poor for us and had plenty of chances. Its upto the English players to grab the chance when it's presented and in that respect Johnson failed miserably, being only useful for a twenty minute cameo against a tiring fullback. Rodwell has also been very ordinary so far costing 2 goals already with stray passes. Sinclair is a strange buy to be honest, doesn't look anywhere near good enough on what I've seen so far. I think it's too easy to simply blame the football club for these young English players not making it happen, perhaps they should have a look at themselves and their lifestyle as well in regards to Johnson
I sort of agree but it doesn't say a lot for your managers judgement does it? he buys the players and his coaching staff mould them, if they're not producing then there's something wrong with your coaching system.
Possibly but so far the younger players dont seem willing to put the hard yards in that the older pros like milner & Barry put in.Johnson just wouldnt track back to help the full back out and its that more than anything which kept him out of the team and he didnt appear to be as fit as many of the other players which could be lack of game time but thats the chicken and the egg though. Hopefully Martin ONeill is the man to put an arm around his shoulders and get him back to realise the potential he had before he left Boro Hows he been doing at Sunderland?
Not a thing yet unfortunately for us. He looks scared to take his fullback on and his crossings been poor. We all know what he's capable of though, he just looks short in confidence. Injuries and international breaks have done him no favours either!
He still is mate. Yet when I say it on here i get told to fck off by the posters. Everyone on tis forum wants to defend him for some reason. Personally, I believe Johnson to be the most over rated player ever. We have had excuse after excuse and give him time as arguments for him. He has had 3 months anddone absolutely nothing. He is just not very good.
What an excellent article the lad has put together. Can't argue with much of his view, and the stats per minute are very interesting indeed. AJ will come good, and we'll lap it up when he does.
**** off then. You wouldn't be told that if 90% of your posts didn't say exactly the same thing. You're like a cracked record. "Johnson's not very good...(click)...Johnson's not very good...(click)...Johnson's not very good...(click)..."
He says the same about everybody at the club, all useless. You obviously haven't noticed he is a Skunk then? Just ignore him. He will go away
