Today's racing comes from the Parks of Lingfield and Kempton (flat, polytrack) and over the jumps from the -fords of Here- and Strat-, plus Clonmel over in Ireland.

Two horses having their first run over fences catching my eye - no risk, no fun, so to speak. In the 3.40 at Stratford Henry Daly's useful hurdler Safran de Cotte has his first crack at the bigger obstacles and the Dom Alco gelding should appreciate a bit of juice in the ground based on all his hurdle victories coming on soft or heavy. The other one I like is over at Clonmel in the 3.25 - Our Girl Salley was a grade 3 winner over hurdles and Prunella Dobbs mare will once again have the services of Barry Geraghty in the saddle on her chase debut.

Not for the faint hearted but win singles and a double nevertheless.

Best of luck to all you dabblers and also those on simply a watching brief <ok>

Some decent racing tomorrow. No stand out bets though for me. It would have been Sentaril if only she had some form on the AW.

So I'm just going to pick a few to keep me interested. Wouldn't be surprised if I didn't get a single winner; but I'd be a bit pissed off.

    Lingfield
    12.50 Hekaayaat 2nd 9/2
    13.20 Thakana 4th 2/1 (wide final bend)
    13.50 Rangi NR
    14.20 Lockantanks 4th 16/1
    14.50 Sentaril Won 10/3
    15.20 Polygon Unplaced
    15.50 Layali Dubai Won 13/8
    16.20 Rio Royale Stone last

    Kempton
    16.40 Desert Sunrise 4th 14/1
    17.10 Sky Garden 3rd 2/1
    17.40 Norfolk Sky Won 11/10
18.10 Pink Lips and another stone last
18.40 Footstepsintherain and another stone last, another one bites the dust
    19.10 True To Form 4th 33/1
    19.40 Nassau Storm NR
    20.10 Circuitous Won 3/1

FANTASTIC book oddy---taken from the redmans perspective---great account ---sad--but makes you feel like actually being there.
two i do like at kempton are----VOLCANIC WIND and AMADEUS WOLF TONE---expecting nice price on the latter so may do singles and eway double.

i have sin palo as well, ruby walsh, plus it seemed the best on paper. but in the 3:25 i scrubbed our girl salley and picked magical memoir instead which pushed our girl salley into the reserve spot (in case i have a non runner). also scribbled in noras fancy, same race.

tomorrow looked tricky to me. some were reasonably well calculated but then some races were a fair distance with not a lot that had gone the distance ever. i think it was the 2:30 HER 3m2f that i ended up with jaunty journey/pericoloso (who has only gone 25f once).

i should have made a note on the ones i wondered what you guys on here thought but i didn't so now i'll just have to wait and see.

tuesday i took the care to work out afterwards, if i'd put a tenner ew on every horse i picked for taunton (and therefore spent £120), how much i would have won. it took ages. the result? £120.50. ha ha, fifty pence profit :embarrassed:

today was better, £15 profit. cooking on matchsticks

Sin Palo does look pretty solid and will win if it jumps around this time, there are worst 11/10 shots out there imo.

Di Mateo complained about the handball not given in the interview after <whistle>

He didn't say anything about the two ManU defenders that should have been sent off though...

    Morning all

nothing for me today but decent stuff for a Thursday

one that I will be watching closely is CHENGHO in the 1.50 at Lingfield currently 10/1. I have been reading several positive gallop reports about this one on various sites. Has been pulling clear of a couple of stablemates.

On Wednesday morning CHENGO looked the part in his work with the Ryan Moore-ridden EXCLUSIVE.

After cantering a furlong the juveniles quickened to the eight-furlong marker and Chengo proved much the best as he bounded five lengths clear.

The emphasis was again on two-year-olds for the second time in a week CHENGHO moved stylishly in a three-horse group.

Accompanied by ASTONISHING and DESERT SUNRISE, the son of 2000 Guineas winner Henrythenavigator quickened nicely to pull a couple of lengths clear

the horses he is pulling clear of haven't showed a great deal so far but he certainly sounds like he has been impressing and 10/1 isn't a bad price.
