    I agree, SG.
We were totally in control, so what was the point of bringing on Vertonghen?
Caused more pressure on our defence, where there was absolutely none all game.

should have brought on Defoe for Carrol.

I've not seen the start of this thread (or game) is Ade still injured?

    shiiiiiit.

Tomorows training session dead ball drills - pens and corners followed by additional corner training.

Nowhere near enough time added for the injury treatments and we go out. <doh>
That was pathetic. We were barely troubled at the back all game, made a stupid defensive change, conceded a ridiculous free-kick and missed a bloody penalty.
What a crap way to throw away a chance of a trophy.

All true, but I still have no idea why they got the free kick that lead to their second goal.

Two players try to kick the ball with their feet at the same height: High foot. <doh>
I haven't seen it from the side, but there were shades of offside about it too and they had a horde of players in the box for our penalty.
Villas-Boas should look at himself for this one, though.
Another unnecessary defensive substitution in a game that we were completely in control of.

Two penalties to Chelsea to cap it all off. I've nothing to post as it's all been posted. Well done Norwich.

Norwich are becoming a problem team for us...

we need to bounce back v wigan this weekend.

I know what people are saying about AVB's mistakes but if he learns from them then it'll be good in the long term. I am disappointed because I think every trophy is important.

I also think we need to remember how many players are unavailable to us in the long term...Adebayor (hasn't started a match), Parker, BAE, Kaboul etc. they were all vital first team players

Agreed, but throwing a game away like we did and missing a pen is bad, no matter how many first teamers are un-available.

Disappointing - with at least 1 of Chelsea/Man Utd going out tonight, this was a cup we could really have a go at.

From text commentary it sounded like we were in control and then boom. It makes no sense.

Still - at least out fixture list will be a little less crowded.

Its a season long problem closing out games once or twice fair enough but this is becoming very regular
