The First round is this weekend, kicking off with Cambridge City vs MK Dons on Friday Night.

Shame Ferriby didn't make it all the way to the first round, but they have the league to focus on. Who would you like in the third round? A Premier League side perhaps? One of the Manchester clubs, another stab at Arsenal?

Personally, I'd like a non league club (assuming any get through the other rounds). Maybe the Metropolitan Police away (interesting to see how many fans they have). Or a Yorkshire derby at Harrogate Town.

Bloody el Tommy, that's a game that's never even crossed my mind. Hull city afc v North Ferriby Utd,would be a great day. Even if they beat us (iv'e got to admit,i'd want them to). Leeds though, away.

If he plays in the cup he won't be able to play again. However, there are sometimes clauses in contracts that stipulate the player is ineligible for cup ties. But I would have thought he'd be playing on Sunday against Altrincham, because Jakupovic will be wanting some game time and the cup is probably perfect for him.

Met Police have a huge following of about 120 in the Rymans Premier. But to be fair they have a superb pitch and the facilities arnt bad either.

Interesting to see if any upsets occur over the weekend. As for the thir round, I'd love us to have a trip to one of the top premier leagues sides, a yorkshire derby or a non league side. Knowing our luck, it will be something like Birmingham at home or Derby away!

After people whinged at City being drawn against Donny in the league cup, would getting a lower level team in the 3rd round be any good? We'd just go about it the same way as Donny and Rotherham.

I don't like going away in cup games, we always seem to lose away in the cup, probably because the rag-tag bunch we send out combined with the disadvantage of playing away doesn't work well.

A non league team away in round 3 as they are always fun trips. But i would not mind a day at the New York stadium. Get the ground done for a meaningful game.

OLM can sit behind the home bench. Lol.

When do we ever achieve anything in the FA Cup anyway? Off the top of my head I can only think of 1930, 1949, 1966 and 2009 as the only years we've achieved anything notable, (with an honorary mention to 1989 and that 5th round match against Liverpool). I always think a decent cup run would be nice, but not at the expense of League form and promotion.

Either Manchester United or Liverpool away, or a League Two or non-league team

    Cup games since Jan 2008:

    Home:

    Rotherham W
    Crawley L
    Ipswich W
    Macclesfield L
    Wigan L
    Everton L
    Southend W
    Milwall W
    Newcastle W

    Won 5, Lost 4

    Away:
    Donny L
    Brentford L
    Wigan L
    Arsenal L
    Swansea L
    Plymouth L

    Won 0, Lost 6.

Neither of them are impressive, but the away form is particularly dire.

Wasn't Rotherham penalties because we failed to win it by playing football? Newcastle we drew 0-0 at home and won the replay at St James.
