So it is nearly here. 10th game approaching. I am one of the 'give him at least 10 games' before we panic. Given the bookies odds, 5/6 QPR win and 10/3 Reading win, our season may well start here afterall.

The strength of TF's support is beyond the 'pre sacking' variety IMO so I think we will have MH as manager even if the unthinkable happens.

It is going to be a long week waiting for Sunday! Might be an unpleasant Saturday watching the gap widen albeit temporarily(please God) though Villa and Southampton likely to lose too.

Sorry if you think that Northolt, but it's my opinion.

This season is so far the worst in our history, we've got the lowest points total in the top 5 divisions, we're the only club in the top 4 divisions not to have won away in 2012. Even losing to Vauxhall Motors was better than this!

Worst I've seen us play in 23 seasons!

I don't think Hughes has a bigger critic than me, but they don't want to sack him , so if they do, it will probably have got so bad it's too late anyway<ok>

For the record IMO something doesn't add up for the people who still want Hughes in! You can't defend the indefensible!

It's very frustrating as fans to see this happen!

Looking forward to the Sunderland game.

Couldn't get 2 seats together for the Southampton game with the exeption of SARS and the last time I sat in there it all kicked off and I had to move!

    It is not entirely indefensible.

Swans - no excuse. Points against Chelsea (the only team to get a point off Cheslea until yesterday), Everton and all agreed played like lions against Spurs. Damn unlucky not to get point against Gunners and we lose to an offside goal!!

If our luck ever changes just a little......

    I think its very defensible.
    We have the players.
They have played well with a few exceptions.
We have dropped about 4 anticipated points.
    Toughest schedule to start season.
Team still seem to be with Hughes so now big dressing room problems.
I can see us getting 7 points from next three games.
As to team selection I have said many times before that we do not know what goes on in training every day regarding attitude and fitness.
Hughes is a Ranger, SWP is a Ranger.

I don't want Sparky to get the sack , I don't dislike him a much as some on the board obviously do. I would like us to beat Reading, Stoke, Southampton, get a result against Man Utd then go on to beat Sunderland, Aston Villa, Wigan, Fulham, do something credible against The Toon, Albion and Liverpool. This should sit us mid-table in time for the horror that is January. February, March and April bring even more win-able games in time to see us cement our Premiership status before May.

If we can't start clawing our way past honourable efforts with no reward we might as well pack up and make ready for the Championship. At the start of the season I would have had us down for being better than all but 8 or so teams and with around the 50 point mark being more than possible and comfortable mid-table security guaranteed.

Hughes still has a chance to end the year on a high note with some of the easier games of the season on the way between the now and the end of December. If we can't beat the likes of Reading, Southampton and Co we simply don't deserve to stay up. I'd rather chance a shake up with the Manager than stick with him all the way down to the Championship where he would more than likely dump us in favour of someone else who "shares his ambition".

Reading won't be easy, I don't underestimate them at all, but if we have anything about us it has to be our 3 points.

Spot on this. TF is actually more likely to make us look silly sacking MH right now as it is contrary to everything he has previously said. We need one win to kick start our season and save MH

It's of TFs own making. I don't think TF will make us look silly when he has to suck Hughes. Just himself.

Hughes will be here at least until in xmas imo.
I cant see him being sacked even if we lose to Reading and Southampton as Tony has been far to public with his support.

Judge after 13 games! 1/3 through the season and a few winnable fixtures coming up. We'll be sitting on 12 points by then. Almost on target for the magic 40!

He doesnt have to get rid of the staff, they will go by themselves as they follow Hughes around. 5-6m to get rid of hughes or flush 70m a season down the drain. That could be the choice very soon.
