I can accept it when it happens to anyone. We see refereeing mistakes happen every week, sometimes you get the rub of the green, sometimes you don't. I don't believe in conspiracy theories. You probably believe that 911 was an inside job and that John Lennon was murdered by the CIA.

Cfc fan in peace - This may well work to your advantage come next week - with all the furore over Clattenburg's performance you may well see the match official bending over backwards to ensure he's being even-handed.....unless Webb is the ref.

This picture doesnt show thw defender out of shot who the linesman said was off the pitch, but who the ref said had one foot on the pitch, so playing Arteta onside. I can understand it looks dodgy though.

That defender was Ryan Nelsen, number 17, on the right of the shot.

Thats what Mark Hughes said. There is (i think) actually a player out of shot down the bottom of the screen, who tried to defend Arshavin's cross. Hughes will obviously say Nelsen because he's clearly playing Arteta offside, rather than the out of shot guy.

    He's a tricky bugger.

Pretty sure that was Mackie, Kyle. Number 12 at the bottom of the picture, though you can barely see him.

^This. The player who played him on was at the bottom left from this angle.

It's a tenuous link to try and compare the confusion around the Arteta goal with the bias and ineptitude of Clattenberg today, most people can see that they are miles apart.

Clattenberg basically lost the plot today. He got so much wrong and in so much favour for Man Utd, that it just looks like bias, whether intended or not.

I'm up for keeping the pressure on the ref for our game against Utd, we might benefit from some unusual fairness at OT <ok>

Speaking as a fan of little Norwich , my experience is the bigger clubs get more marginal decisions go their way. However, it does seem United benefit more than anyone, but then they are the biggest. The whole thing stinks.

Please Piskie. My Monday was going so well. United and refs... Hmmmm where do I start. It's actually not a laughing matter and in my opinion this kind of bias is bordering on corruption, yeah that's right corruption. I think all united fans need to take a long hard look at themselves if they think that the bias is a thing made up by 'ABU's' or whatever the **** they call us these days. I try not to watch uniteds games unless they play us now because it really makes me sick to my stomach to see them receive constant help throughout the season. If you want to alienate football fans across the globe then keep doing this **** season after season. It's pretty obvious what's happening but united fans are either too hungry for glory or don't mind cheating their way to prem titles season after season.

If you weren't regularly swapping bodily fluids with Chelski supporters on here, you would see that last night had equal doses of humour.

    **** chelski, **** spuds and **** manure.

No Ref would ever have the balls to send off 2 United Players off at Old Trafford. Can you imagine Fergie after the game? That Ref wouldnt be seen again for a long time in the PL.

Thats y refs are scared to make mistakes again United as they know they will be Reffing League 1 Games the following week.

Torres deserved a red for the first foul.

I also heard a Chelsea fan saying Vermaelen deserved a yellow card for play acting when M'Bia was sent off. Well if that's the case then Torres deserved his second yellow card for exaggering the contact with Evans. Swings and roundabouts.

It's not swings and roundabouts when the same team keeps benefitting from these decisions

Exactly. Refs bottle it against Utd
They are so used to Fergie getting his own way, that they don't dare invite any of his wrath.

Will we see Clattenberg in the championship next week ? I doubt it. He should never be allowed to referee a Utd game again.

Absolutely true, United get all the decisions. The offside goal was a prime example. Just I think Torres deserved a red card for the first challenge that could have broken Cleverly's arm. For Torres' second yellow, I wouldn't have given it, but if Chelsea fans think Vermaelen deserved a yellow for his play-acting, then Torres should too, so they're hypocrites.

I don't buy this swings and roundabouts argument at all. Refs make mistakes, that's only natural and most of the time, they are close calls, only cleared up with the benefit of slow motion analysis after the game. Or in Arteta's case against QPR, left inconclusive. In the heat of the moment, the ref has to make a decision, so you can understand why they sometimes get some wrong.

But the incidents of favouritism towards Utd are now becoming far too frequent for it to be a coincidence. Whether it's deliberate bias, subconscious bias, fear of being lambasted by Fergie - and his media loving lackeys or just poor referring, something has got to be done about it.

Clattenberg yesterday was diabolical. He made mistake after mistake and then tried to correct his mistakes with more mistakes. The fact that he's also being complained about for making racist gestures is just the icing on the cake of a terrible day for referring.

I would never want to face Utd with Clattenberg or Webb referring and I suspect that most fans would feel the same. Their bias has become all too obvious now. It's time the FA took action, because it's ruining the game.
