are you talking to me regarding the "**** talking"? I didn't see Birmingham (and by the sounds of it I'm ****ing lucky not to have). I listened to the first half and got ****ing bored (It was 2:00am by that time and thought the time was better served in bed). However I have seen enough of Tonge to know he is not good enough for a promotion winning team, he's inconsistent and very rarely involved. Admittedly when he does get the ball he does sometimes create but for me he isn't a wide player and I think Norris is better than him. We need to sign better than Tonge to play out wide. And the reason I compared him to Danny Pugh was because we signed him on loan and he played almost every game, the second we signed him permanently he stopped getting played
Josh I've watched tonge Live in every game he's played for us and ge has been very competent and an ideal player for a promotion chasing squad. He's the only one trying to pass the ball and he's calm and composed on the ball.
Well the first game he had (which was against Cardiff) he was incredibly poor. He was then moved out wide and he has done much better. However he drifts in and out of games and is often not involved. He just keeps shape and does nothing exciting, which would be fine except we don't have anyone really do much on the other side, we need some wide players that are actual wide players and can beat a man every now and then and whip in a cross. He is a CM being played out wide, so bring him into the middle but the issue is is that I think Norris is better and the very small amount I have seen of Green, he also looks a better option in the middle. So rather than buy Tonge to play out wide, we should buy a wide player to play out wide Got nothing against Tonge and he's done ok but we should not buy him for the sake of buying him, he has done a job but its only really a fill-in job until something better comes along imo
As I said, I would love to see him playin for us. Unless our new owners happen to be another Man City, it won't happen....
