Okay, so please understand I am just sharing info. The takeover will be done in time for transfer window, but we should not expect to be spending millions on players. GFH will assist Warnock, but it won't be a pot of unlimited gold available. The club will continue to be run as a business (profitable) and some money will be made available. Right now GFH don't have vast resources available to spend on squad, although they may get other investors to join and add funds. Tonge is a permanent target, money needed to fund his move. Leeds also interested in Caulker (Spurs) on loan to end of season but need to pay a fee up front to secure this. Boyd (Posh) in the frame, at least £1m needed to sign him. So Warnock needs at least £2m minimum (fees and wages) from GFH to get his priority targets signed, and of course they must want to come. Only probable at this stage seems to be Tonge, though Pulis may see value in keeping him now that he's got fitness back and is improving in form. Stoke don't have to let him go, and he's a useful squad player...but will they register him in their 25 end of Jan? Who should we sign? We know Hall is coming and the money has been set aside for him, but if GFH gave Warnick enough for two really good signings, who do you want to see in a White shirt? I'm not too unhappy hearing Boyd mentioned, he has raised his game this season and is showing a bit of quality, something we lack badly. Will Warnock go for experience and grafters, or will he add flair?
Don't want us to sign Tonge, just another Pugh situation I think. Brought in to do a job while we had injuries but isn't good enough to hold down a first team spot so a pointless signing to me Everytime I talk about Boyd I change my mind. Think we need that style of player but woulda thought we could attract better. Caulker would be good though

Well, I can understand Warnock looking at Caulker. He is only 20, has improved and has in fact made just 4 appearances so far, and AVB won't see him as a regular while he is learning. Think Warnock's approach will be that Caulker can gain good experience at a big club where there is pressure. Still don't think it will happen due to money.
Tonge looks the most likely, Warnock trusts him and he has been one of our better players so far. Look at it this way, do you want him gone in December, and who in the squad will take his place and improve the team?
He's starting and impressing ffs! And even if he was loaned it would be to another prem team. Also how would playing in front of less than 20000 be playing for a big club with pressure?
Pressure to get results, he's started 4 games due to injuries. Will Spurs buy another defender in January? Very likely if they want to progress, over the course of a Prem season will AVB risk everything by constantly playing a youngster who is learning and growing? If Caulker gets destroyed in a couple of games, how will it affect his confidence? Anyway, pointless argument as money won't be there to get him. Warnock may have given the club targets he wants, and this can be done as a temperature check to see how much cash will be made available to him. Warnock knows what he's doing, and it may be a case of you can't have Caulker but here's another good option that shows ambition.

Caulker played 26 games in a successful Swansea side last season in the Premier League, who were fairly strong defensively for a promoted side. Spurs would be stupid to loan him to us in the Championship.
