Frustrating but it was going to happen sooner or later. I think an out and out goal scorer is needed ASAP so we can push on.

We may have been top but we're not going to win every game this season. It's been coming, unfortunately, but hopefully we can build on the experience from this. Still keep the support up everyone! Will be offering mine from my exile in the frozen north!

Funny you should say that. DARREN BENT & KENWYN JONES spring to mind.

There must be some hungry young kid at one of the big clubs we could borrow, didn't do Cleverly any harm coming to us! I'm sure Shakey has a few irons in the fire but that'll be for Jan and we need someone now, lets face it now we have a performing midfield a confident free scoring striker, well we'd be laughing!

..well it had to happen some time and against a Palace side who are flying and probably had a ppoint to prove after losing their manager.
Oh well, still sitting in 2nd position and there will be plenty more highs and lows over the rest of the season.
I hope this "1" loss doesnt bring out all the moaners from the woodwork. As Pearson says we wont get too excited when we win and we should not get too over the top when we lose,
We pick ourselves up, dues ourselves down and go again in the next match
    Blue army!!!

What has now been proved is that we can go on a run. The current (brilliant) run has ended but there is no reason why we can't go on another one soon.

    It's all about consistency

Would be in the £5-8m category in Jan, i can see a Norwich/lower prem side having a stab at him.

RE today ... i blame Football Focus, its like Manager of the Month

Would be nice Horsham but Burnley would want silly money now, similar to the Bristil City / Maynard situation.

I said buy Austin at the beginning of this season, and the last.

Too much now for a player more in form than anything.

It's the wrong time to buy Austin because of his form. You need to wait until he tails off a little to get a better deal

Burnley got 6M for Jay Rodriguez so I reckon they would want about the same for Austin if he continues his form

I think you can afford to spend over the odds on a player. The question is would Austin work with Nugent?

It does look like NP has got the team ethic going and your French lad could be very useful so paying a bit extra on one of the best strikers in the division is acceptable.

Then again Austin's form could dip and you'd be wishing you'd bought Proschwitz.....

    <ok>

Sorry Horsham I disagree - I would like us to continue with our rehabilitation in terms of spend and limit our spending to a reasonable percentage of our income - Notwithstanding sensible investment as part of a finance plan.

This way we can recover self respect and respect from our peers (even if they will never express it)

No we shouldnt break that bank for any player while still in the championship. Different story if were in the prem but not in this league

If you spend 15M in this league you get promoted simple as. Unless you spend it like a complete moron like Sven did

Thinking back to last season, Reading had the right idea bringing in Jason Roberts.

Southampton brought in Sharp while West Ham went for Vaz Te and Maynard.

Strengthen before you need to is probably the way ahead. If there is a better value alternative great. If not, and you have the cash, JDI.

I think you've lost your "spending money like idiots" tag now.
