What a karnt. Is there a worse pundit in this day and age!? He is shocking! So Terry should have been sacked as well from the club whereas nothing gets mentioned of Rio's little 'choc-ice' comment? He hasn't a clue what he is saying and although I think racism in football is disgraceful, he really does make the most of it. It's almost as if he is enjoying criticising Terry constantly! Just leave it Garth you twat. The matter has been dealt with and we move on...

    Recently reported :

Garth Crooks has become the latest BBC football 'expert' to be guilty of an extraordinary gaffe.
The former Tottenham and Stoke forward suggested that West Brom's James Morrison might force his way into England manager Roy Hodgson's thoughts.
But Morrison, as anyone calling themselves a pundit should know, has actually been playing for Scotland for four years, earning himself 23 caps.

There's a really bad telegraph article you lot should read. Something like beatiful and disgusting under the Chelsea page. Biggest load of tosh I have read. So many 3rd hacks and pundits these days.

... in my opinion crooks is an awful pundit and interviewer...

however I don't get your point.

If he said both Terry and ferdinand should be sacked would you still be calling him a twat or would he have been right?

I don't think that Terry should be sacked! I also think he just ignores what Rio tweeted and focuses on JT. I would still disagree with him if he mentioned both JT and Rio to be sacked. He just goes too over the top. Yes racism is terrible in any aspect but he just keeps on badgering on about it. He needs to drop it. He is a twat and I don't think many would disagree.

Don't agree with all you've written but thanks for clearing up what you thought about sacking both of them.

Crooks: Once a Spud, always a Spud.

He was furious for all of last weeks Final Score. (Yes, I watch Final Score. I'm too poor to afford Sky <cry>)

He didn't ask for Evra to be sacked when he was proven to have lied about being racially abused at Stamford Bridge something which many feel is equally as bad as actually being abused. Infact he was on his side and never apologized or mentioned it again once Evra was proven to be a liar. You make of that what you will but it's fairly clear why.

It probably wouldn't take much digging to find some bad moments from Garth Crooks. He talks as if he's a saint.

My all time favourite Crooks moment was when Arsenal were being held at home to West Ham (with Green having a blinder) and Chelsea were being held away to Blackburn (with them all over us). The man literally had the grin of a Chesire cat. Chelsea and Arsenal both scored simultaneous 90th minute winners and I'd never seen a man's face turn from elation to depression so quickly. He was sat in his chair claiming West Ham's loss was unwarranted despite a 90 minute onslaught on their goal from Arsenal and also bemoaning the fact Benjani (I think) missed an absolute sitter at 1-1 against Chelsea. Despite the fact United did the same only a week earlier.

I'd take the opinion of a Chimp more seriously than Crooks. It's got to the point now where people can't even get wound up by him. He's a comical figure

Thats the danger with this PC twaddle it allows the likes of Crooks to create and promote their "Grievance Industry". Had the FA been allowed to conduct from the outset instead of the courts; Terry would've received his punishment and the issue been put to bed; instead we have a self-perpuating circus with a chorus of muppetts/hasbeens queueing up with their soapboxes advocating the return of McCarthyite inquisitions and punishments for evil-doers. Time to move on people.

There's a huge difference between shouting fbc at someone and calling someone a choc ice. The latter was definitely inappropriate and a bit racist but there is a significant level of grey area on that kind of thing. Chelsea have previous for sacking even first team players for breaking other serious club rules so it probably should've been up for discussion but actually sacking him would've caused one more problems than it's worth legally as he wasn't found guilty in court.

For many black people the choc ice comment is a far worse racist comment, my son has many black friends whom all said this at the time. Think about what it implies
