So the Jump season is well underway and we are at the final flat meeting of the season. Good Luck to all that play. 15.30 Aintree- Gauvain- 7/1 Moved to Hobbs' yard this summer and interesting to see him more favoured in the market but Johnson has chosen to stick with Wishful Thinking. Main reason for my pick he goes well on the 1st run of the season winning the last two. Last year beating my names sake at chepstow. Had a very good start to last year beating Somersby at Huntingdon, but his jumping did let him down on the back end of it. But if the new yard has sorted that he is a very smart performer and the yard will do everything they can to make the most of this 1st run! 14.45 Newbury- Harris Tweed - 11/2 Very closely went against him, but just couldnt lead myself to lol. A very good horse on his day, loves this track is a C&D winner this year when winning the John Porter stakes. Altho lately he hasnt shown his true class, he came sparkling back in to form and showed what a fighter he is lto at newmarket when he fought and fought Sea Of Heartbreak and won but that battle took too much out of him losing to Retrieve imo he won the battle but lost the war. Will love the ground and intresting to see Ryan on board and should go very close indeed
Greetings not606 people. I say what a kerfuffle registering for this site ,it took an eternity to make the switch over from the original and I must say magnificent bbc606 forum. Before I provide you with my latest piece of stupendous "info" I would like to point out that this old boy is unconvinced that this site will last as the layout is very unprofessional. Anyways enough of the balderdash. Last night at my £35,000,000 pad (yes get over it) I dined with the knee high Italian Lanfranco Dettori. He was rather unwilling and nervous at the start of the evening, but after 2 bottles of "Pulse" and a litre of the finest Italian wine (Lambrini) I managed to get some drunken ramblings out of the hilarious character. I can't go in to all the details (ssshhhhh don't say a word) but the little man was caught in the all blue of Godolphin balls deep in to the Sheikh's breathtakingly beautiful 77th wife. The towel head himself was far from amused and immediately downgraded Lanfranco's cap to White. So there is the brief story in regards to the sacking, and before the weasel left I managed to get a tip for you chums. KHAWLAH 2.00 DONCASTER 40/1 "I lose on this last three times to lower handicap mark" (WINK)
Harris tweed the lay of the day as usual when it races, just a shame the bookies haven't priced it up at some stupidly short price like they normally do! 1m4? The plodder needs 3m!
"I lose on this last three times to lower handicap mark" (WINK) Not low enough though. Proofreader wins this That's a bit harsh Brough !! At least it bloody tries - unlike some of mine recently! Trivia moment: As well as being an inconsistent race horse and a rough textured fabric, Harris Tweed was also a cartoon character in the 1950's comic The Eagle, which was also the home of legendary Dan Dare. So now you know
Fav backer thats me Also the only one pointing at 18-1 winner Drumlang last week That's why they call me
Don't come on the king of forums spouting your nonsense. I tipped up Mon Mome after a one night stand with Venetia sunshine.
and Mekon. I remember Dan Dare but can't remember anything else from the Eagle. I remember Denis the menace, Beryl the Peril. Keyhole Kate, Desperate Dan, etc from other comics Dandy, Beano, Knockout)
I don't remember Knockout, Ron - which is unusual for me as I used to get all the stuff printed, either by being bought them and/or swapping with friends. Some I remember are Dandy, Beano, Topper, Beezer, Eagle and, erm Girl's Crystal bought by my cousin. Honest!! That's all fro me folks - catch ya tomorrow - sleep tight (hic)
that's interesting. i discounted gauvain because he'd dropped off a bit. i didn't know about the yard change. in that race, 3:30 AIN, i have pacha du polder/for non stop (no bet though). and then i put a question mark about swapping one for hector's choice. i'm probably way off the mark because, like cheltenham, i'm never sure when lots of decent horses are in the same race. plus nacarat is running, looking forward to that whatever he does. the veteran's race (AIN 2:25) was the other one i was interested in. mumbles head/fabalu are my choices but not seen big fella thanks for a bit and he's changed hands a few times (ex paul nicholls when he was doing well). bazart (5:35 STR) is my sentimental choice, card studying says murfreesboro. my choices might all be wrong, of course. i've got two pages of them tomorrow woo hoo! start of season information gathering. i think someone said yesterday it's difficult to tell if they need the run or not, and i'm in that very place and do better once the season has got towards christmas. best of luck all tomorrow

The more i look at that 3:30 the more drawn i am to Hector's Choice. It is a tricky race to work out for many reasons as already stated, but at the price i may have a punt on in the early morning. Goodluck to everyone with their bets as usual
