Just a last comment . How many of you folks, parents, offspring bought a concil house via Maggie? Got your feet on the home owning ladder, under the other crowd you were being denied, even today, labour councils do not give you your rights. So please give credit where credit is due. Also under Maggie we had an armed forces as good or if not better than the rest of the world, not the biggest, but the best, thanks to the other lot wasting all our money, we have got nearly **** all left. The so-called home owner society instigated by Thatcher is a joke. All it means now is that councils don't get the income they once did, so now older folk have to sell there homes to pay for their private care in old age..
True & took away affordable social housing for those that couldn't get mortgages. That's why there are so many rip off landlords these days charging twice what the councils do for properties on the same estates. I feel for young couples now. They can't get mortgages as they don't have a spare 10 grand in their arse pockets to clag down as a deposit & they can't afford to rent privately as the rents are astronomical.
