Centralization, social ownership of the means of production, collectivized agriculture, economic equality: all socialist concepts which Stalin believed in. The amount of deaths he was responsible for having nothing to do with socialism. They have to do with fascism.

They really have nothing to do with fascism either, Stalin was not a fascist. He was authoritarian yes, but not a fascist.

I think Joe's right, you need to spend an evening with the dictionary (as well as your poor wife!)

Fascist does not mean someone with views you disagree with, and socialist doesn't mean a nice man.

Now, does anyone have anything to say about this black players union? <whistle>

It's hilariously ironic that GMI's mere existence is an indictment of the failures of our education system, and therefore a perfect example of why we should not be so proud of this country.

Yes Joe , yes Joe . You seem the perfect example of a smug self righteous lefty who does not know his arse from his elbow , the sort of Godfrey who has the luxury of a conscience and eases himself with voting Liberal . A Tory with a conscience if you will .

Smug, perhaps. But to be smug, one must first be right.

All these posts by GMI are making me want to start oppressing minorities... well one particular minority anyway.

This debate ended ages when the liberal elite agenda came on , the liberals will appease us to nothing .
It also has nothing to do with the creation of a black players union which I believe is a bad thing as it would split the minorities and again make their representation weaker , what would their demands be as well ?
Do you not find it it ironic the media loving Ferdinand and Roberts are coming to the end of their careers ? Am I being cynical when they want to leave a legacy from the game , the issue with that is its their legacy and not the current players ?

Nah, I wasn't. I hadn't even read the previous conversation, I just felt it was an apt and accurate response to Joe's post (even if I dunno what his post was even about).

Wow so being uneducated or ignorant to the issues in society is acceptable for forming an opinion on the matter and not having it robustly challenged or suggested it is wrong?

Reckon you and Adolf would have made interesting drinking partners discussing the pros and cons of each others opinions.....

I think regarding Roberts you may well be being a bit cynical. From what I've read he has petitioned the PFA (and other bodies) on numerous occasions with a charter for change (regarding these issues). Is it possible that there are some people out there like Roberts who think beyond themselves first and maybe that they want to do something for the greater good - I really hope so.

On a lighter note - having a wife and getting laid are not inextricably linked.....
