I don't particularly like or want Redknapp at the club but I think this talk of stunting youth development is something of a red herring. Redknapp would be a short term fix intended to keep us up and somewhat establish us in the Premier League. Whether he would be able to achieve that is a different question, but I personally think being in the Premier League is more important than playing the kids at this stage of the club's development. As we've seen with Walcott, Bale and Oxlade-Chamberlain, if a club produces and plays high class youngsters in the Championship or lower then those players will quickly move on.

I dont think anyone has a clue about whats going to happen re. Nigel Adkins. No one knows a bloody thing about the owners and very little about Cortese. When a club keeps losing in the PL the manager has speculation about his position and if he keeps losing he gets sacked. Thats about as far as it go's.

That's just about the most realistic and fair analysis of the current situation I have seen. There isn't really much else worth saying until Adkins is seen moping out of St Mary's with a box of his possesions.

Any truth in the rumours of Lambert to Stoke in January? Now that would be depressing, to think we may be without Adkins and Lambo in a few months!

Nice to see Stoke haven't lost the Saints blue print plan after all these years! <laugh>

NA's not doing himself any favours leaving Lambert on the bench.

It reminds me of my dealings with Le Tissier in the early 90's before he smased two screamers in against Newcastle at the Milton End.

Does the fact that harry looks like he'll be going to blackburn show that threads such as this one are merely windups?

Everything is a wind up on here at the moment. I miss the Championship, never thought I'd be saying that. :(

I'd rather get Strachan if anyone has to come back.

redknapp would be a disaster (again!) one of my old work colleagues once played golf with rupert lowe and he asked about the redknapp saga and lowe said he was a horrible man and a complete crook.

if rupert lowe of all people is calling someone a crook, it must be bad.

I feel the same way but that may be clouded by the lack of results, certainly the lack of games isn't helping the mood.

I can take losing, but seeing the players & the gaffer picked apart constantly really is draining me.
Its not just the media, the fickle fans are equally as annoying some days.
Release the raging Lamb on Sunday & things will start looking up, I'm sure.

Victory against Spurs would indeed be a major boost to our morale.
