great to see gerard is now out of hospital. so you villa fans get behind him because he is a fab manager who actually does no his job and how to go about it,so if he ever comes back to villa or football management please give him some respect cos he knows how to run a top club. before anybody goes there woy dosent, and we at lfc knew that.
As much as it's good news, Villa's cautiousness is wise. Ged was never the same after his scare with us.
gerard houllier when left liverpool in 2004-5 didnt stop being a manager he played major roles in football and one being the manager off lyon who were highly successful whilst he was in charge.so i dont believe for one minute what happened to him when he was manager at lfc has anything to do with his medical problems now.the fact that the aston villa fans have totally berated him with placards demos and down right obseneties i believe had a bearing on his latest health scare. yet again i will say our reaction to woy when he was manager was totally and justly correct, because he was out of his depth, but houllier was and still is the best manager for villa, and even the results he was getting b4 his admittance to hospital started to prove that, villa fans hang your heads in shame.
Some managers don't fit certain clubs.Hodgson didn't suit Liverpool,It doesn't mean he's a bad manager.Guus Hiddink a top manager didn't suit Valencia.Kenny Dalglish didn't suit Newcastle. It doesn't mean he's a bad manager. On each occasion the timing was wrong. Its nothing to do with overall credentials.I feel that Hodgson is at his level and is doing quite well, the Liverpool job was far too big for him.Hodgson at Liverpool is like Bryan Robson at Everton,or say Harry Redknapp at Chelsea.
totally agree but gerard is a top proven manager and i wish the villa fans gave him a chance, lets face it he is miles better than woy.
I know he's a proven manager. He was also part of the framework that made France world champions in 1998,He worked at Clairfontaine which developed a lot of talented youngsters that went into that French team.If he did give up football,He could always go back to teaching. He was assistant principal in a school in Liverpool in the 1970s and is also a qualified Economics lecturer.
Sure he was part of the 1998 France but was also part of the 2010 France debacle, right? Wasn't he one of those responsible for keeping Domanech in place? I can understand Villa fans' nervousness when they were in the relegation zone. So were we. Anyway, it seems Villa have already decided his health is not something they can afford to gamble on. My money's on Rafa to take over.
