<ok> I don't think they've ever got their head round the tongue in cheek remarks we make about our players.

Got to agree with this. letting the 2 points slip is disappointing, but we can get them back somewhere else. In terms of finally looking like we have remembered to how to play football, and in terms of demonstrating unqustionable superiority over our near neighbours, you couldn't ask for anythng more.

I would say on the Tiote's challenge had it been any other player in the PL (Except Clatteremall) that would have been a yellow, to me it was a clumsy 50/50 and yeah Fletcher over egged it like Tiote did when Sess caught him in the face (and there was face contact). He should have taken into account the occasion given a yellow and give him a talking to, but went for the easy option.
The ref was desperate to give a card to go against us, the fact No Sunderland players were booked and we got 4 yellows and a red speaks volumes. The Larsson kick on Ameobi was a shocker and was worth of a card but nowt, how?

Not saying we were angels we put some tasty challenges but so did Sunderland, numerous challenges on Ba sending him over but nothing. But as soon as a Sunderland player went over free kick. Or as someone mentioned advantage played when nothing comes of it, pull it back for free kick to them. It wasn't until well into the 2nd half we finally started to get some call our way.

And how has Larsson got away with 2 handballs in the derby at the SOS now?

Anyone who thinks it's some conspiracy, what the match back and you will see what I mean.

Fact- We have never won an away match Atkinson has been in charge of, he also sent Pardew off for the shove on the 4th official. Atkinson is a biased prick FACT!!!!

AS for MOTD let's talk about Tiote's challenge but we'll not bother with Larssons or the hand ball!!!

Better team on the day, a point is better than nowt and we have a lot more to take away from this match then Sunderland

For those who think it was a RED or even those who don't, do read what I posted on the other Tash thread, specifically about the red card.

What the fact he's a biased prick or shoving the 4th official?

Atkinson was in charge of the spurs game when pardew so maliciously and violently endangering a 4th official by doing of all things shoving him!!!!!

He is also a prick, if I hadn't already said that

Ok, sorry I didn't realise managers should be allowed to shove officials. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Are you suggesting a manager would have commit GBH before any action should be taken.

Fair enough you might not like the guy, but surely you can't hold this against him, in all objectivity.

It was a petulant shove 'Did you see that foul', yes your not supposed to lay hands on them but was something over nothing. Not like he punched him to the ground was it.

When you see the one Wenger got a 1 match ban for was far worse but Pardew got double that and a hefty fine. Which he accepted and moved on, suspect that is why he didn't say a lot after the match on Sunday.

Point is Atkins has issues with NUFC and it shone through on Sunday, the number of times he played advantage to SAFC then when none was gained pulled it back for the free kick!!! The number of bookings says it all NUFC 4 Yellows 1 Red SAFC 0

The guy is a biased arse

That doesn't matter though. The act in itself is wrong. Its incorrect to base judhement on the extent.

So is it the ref that decides the ban and the fine??? If Wenger got off lightly, that doesn't justify not punishing someone else.

The ref had a bad game for both teams, but I suppose that just gets ignored doesn't it.

As I say the number of cards for and against says it all, Larsson nearly takes Shola's head off and doesn't get anything. Tiote catches someone late in what I see as a 50/50 and get's a straight red.
Even watching the highlights showed Ba getting fouled, got nothing ball goes through to Colback I think who goes over free kick straight off.
He was so biased it was beyond belief, and that is going back and watching the match and trying to take a reasoned look at it.

NUFC have NEVER won an away match with him in charge

No matter how many times you watched the game you're always going to be biased though.

Not winning an away match??? Case closed, the ref is aka Nomoregeordies. Clearly.

Banning pardew for shoving the fourth official was clearly correct, as Pardew immediately admitted.

Having said that, Mr Atkinson did make a number of very poor calls, the majority of which were in your favour. He may be biased or simply randomly incompetent. Annoying either way.

Most biased ref we have come up against in a long time. He was a complete homer, it was like playing 14 on Sunday. It happens from time to time (we can't pretend we haven't intimidated refs into decisions before). Atkinson seems to have it in for us for whatever reason and would seem to want tackling outlawed, certainly if it is a black and white doing it! Useless ref and I said before the game we'd have problems with him. He is card happy and seem to act emotionally rather than taking a minute to consider or consult.
