As was yours - would you agree? (Player slips in the centre circle to open the door on the right wing, then ball bounces off Mignolet's legs perfectly for Cabaye to slot home?? We both had a slice of luck for our goals

<doh> - You state our players have only scored against lower league teams - who have all of your players scored against in the PL?? Only Cabaye, HBA and Ba have scored in the PL - you use the example for your players but state how poor opposition were for our other scorers - How good were the teams you've played in Europa? not much better than Championship/League 1 I doubt

Although I was far from happy with our performance, the facts remain that we had more possession, more corners and more attempts on goal than the Skunks..The only stats where they were ahead of us is the number of fouls they committed and the number of red and yellow cards they received.

Your possesion stats come from how we approached the 2nd half with 10 men. 2 banks of 4, come and break us down. Pretty much how MON sets you guys up after you take a lead.
Possesion means naff all anyway if nothing is done with it. One stat you have forgot is shots on target, of which we had more.

Thing is, exactly like possession, shots on goal means naff all if they don't go in.

Absolutely, was just making a point. It's an area you have been poor on all season though.

We've been poor in many areas thus far lol. Yet are still managing to keep picking up points here and there and only losing to the champions. Newcastle are in a similar postion really. Both can do better, both will do better.

Shots on goal is less than any other side in the division and is an issue - although 6 goals this season is only 3 less than Newcastle in a game less (still only 2 points behind) - this is just it - we are playing terrible but have still only been beaten by the champions of the division - W1 L1 D5 from 4 away games and 3 home!
We need to use that goal at the end against you guys to push on - just hope we can

I've been really disappointed with us this season so far. On reflection though I think the villa home game is the only game I am really gutted about. Lost to Man U and Chelsea, no shame in that. Ok a point away to reading, was hoping for 3 but any point away is decent I suppose. But Villa are ****ing ****e this season. Thought we would of beaten them. Performance wise playing you guys is the most organised we have looked and we were forced in to that with the red card. Strange season so far. Hope we click soon.

Aye it's a strange season like. Reckon we will both come good soon though. We've started steadily, not bad. If that's an indication of finishing strong, ill take that like

    Alright Jarra lad?

I see Jax has been in the Sunderland club shop, she sent me a photo of the cup she bought.

Shouldn't tell you this but I think it's your Christmas box! :emoticon-0104-surpr

Shots on goal is less than any other side in Europe. The annoying thing now is watching teams like west brom and wigan having a real go and we just play are ultra defensive sysyem every week. Fletcher is isolated and our midfield simply don't get forward quick enough to give him any support. Sess and maclean are selected every week and we are affectively playing with 9 men atm.

you use a stat as utterly pointless and meaningless as CORNERS, and yet leave out shots on target? <doh>

    you idiot.

And a shot on target that doesn't go in is meaningful is it? Does it influence the end result? Nope!

nope, stats are a load of ****, but as far as stats go, shots on target is one of the best there is, especially when compared to corners. I am simply laughing at RAWs random selection of which stats to use to best suit his argument. <ok>

Please listen, I will say this only once...The stats I used are the stats that are given on the BBC match report...if you believe they are meaningless then please direct your anger towards them..:emoticon-0109-kiss:

78% of stats are made up on the spot.
