    Good Morning Everyone

Chris Powell has come out, and said he is dissapointed at only taking a draw at Elland Road. He said: "Our performance warranted all three (points). It was possibly a foul for their goal but we showed a lot of character to come back after they scored.

Some of the headlines of the match are as follows :-

Snoozeday Night at Elland Road - Leeds United 1 Charlton Athletic 1

    Poor Bore Score Draw

Dervite secures Charlton a point in drab draw with Leeds

Little to cheer as Leeds United gain a point

Addicks hold Whites in bore draw

Unfortunately (or is that fortunately), I had to go training last last and missed the match. I feel sorry for those that have spent £100 plus pounds going to the game with their families, they deserve a refund. The team need some sort of psychological treatment as to why they are so ****e when games do not kick off at 3.00 on a Saturday afternoon. With a third of all games so far kicking off on a Tuesday (which I hate) (and being unable to show any signs of passion or life) something needs to be done to turn things around.

If the team can't get excited about playing for Leeds Utd, they don't deserve to wear the shirt, agree?

Hate him or hate hate him, at least Bates shows some passion. His programme discussed the disgraceful scenes at Hillsborough, and the impact it may have on the takeove."What message does that give to our potential investors, commercial partners, including our club sponsor whose chairman watched the game in Dubai?" Ken asked ahead of the Charlton game re: Friday night's disgraceful events at Hillsborough.
Having paid a quick mention to our "Kick it Out" night and name dropping a certain E Cantona at a conference in Monaco, Bates then moved back to the takeover or rather "proposed investment" again mentioning the "confidentiality clause" but claiming it was in tatters due to the Bahraini Regulatory Authority forcing GFH to "make a statement clarifying the situation".

Bates argued this in turn has led to "widespread repercussions" and unfavourable articles written about GFH, however he adds "what they (GFH) must be thinking after watching Friday nights events unfold." He acknowledges the £2m received from GFH as an "upfront payment" on or around June 15th however goes on to slate the Yorkshire Evening Post for quoting a figure treble that and challenged the editor to either print his source or issue an apology, accusing them of "low standards"

Morning Elland-a couple of seasons back I travelled up for a tuesday night game against Leicester, and we lost 2-1. Becchio's finish the only thing to shout about. It wasnt the losing, it was the fact that we played so dross that proper annoyed me. I havent been up to a tuesday game since. Too far to come if the lads wont try! Im coming up for the birmingham game, and was happy that Zigic is out after the job he done on us last year, but now that rapist King seems to be flying-guess our wait for a home clean sheet will continue!

Think Powell a bit bitter at the end-Charlton defo finished stronger and were unlucky not to score at the end, but I felt the first half was ours. Draw a fair result as we were both s***e! Noticed Warnock said after that he was talking to Bates that night about some loans as he doesnt feel we have enough options at the mo-lets see what happens!

    Morning Becchio,

Small teams like Charlton should be bricking it when they come to Elland Rd, not being dissapointed with a draw.re far too low

In fairness I think any team should be looking at a trip to Elland Road as one not to be savoured! Our performance against Everton was technically one of the best I have seen from us in years. If we play like that every week at ER we would become feared there again and wouldnt drop many points. My point here is that performance clearly showed they can do it, so why arent they? I think its both disrespectful to our fans and Charlton last night of the players to really try for prem oppo, but when a lower ranked side arrives that desire and passion goes out the door!

Morning all, don't think I would like to have paid to watch that. Some people are saying that Becchio had a poor game. But it sounds as though the tactics weren't that clever - lumping a ball up to a forward who's the best part of a foot smaller than the CB isn't very bright.

I think we can look forward to Austin & one or two others returning. I'd actually like to see Lees given a break & Kisnorbo play at CB to see if he & Pearce can shore up the defence a bit more.

Change of subject slightly, I see Barn door billy has scored twice in the last two games. Have they finally been able to do what Swindon did & what we didn't... work out how to get the best out of BP?

The whole place is a fooking shambles at the minute. A reviled owner who does nothing for the club, a failing takeover bid, even though GFH have now bought £2m worth of shares. A manager who is short on quality players so tactics revert to hoofball, which any garbage opposition can counter. A lack of flair and lack of strikers, and a fanbase who seem to have had enough of mediocrity from a once great club. Well done Bates, and now according to the manager you will be getting a call from him today, asking for support in the loan market. Don't hold your breath Neil.

We didn't lose again, but are now 6-points off the top 2, but have a lot of clubs around the same points tally as us, so another garbage performance like that could see us slide back around 5 places at the weekend, and fall even further behind. At least Hudders got spanked and put a halt to their progress

Maybe BP is just a good league1 player. Felt sorry for him at ER, no he never whinged.

If we are going to lump balls forward we surely need a big target man.....

I think Kissa's legs have gone. I'd rather play Peltier or Drury (who have both played at cb) in that role

Just seems to me that without McCormack our players just seem clueless as to who to give it to. McCormack gives us that extra creativity and flair. That said, Diouf was meant to provide that too, and he wasn't great against Wednesday. He wasn't great against Charlton either, but mind you, nobody was, bar maybe Kenny (made a couple of great stops at the end to be fair to him)

    BEcchio is a dreadfull player.

Sorry but if people thinking running round like a headless chicken is good, fair enough.

But I like players who can control the ball, and find a white shirt with the ball

Morning all - Have we been fooling ourselves? Many of us believed we have an average mid-table team without too much depth and lacking quality flair players. A stunning win against Everton and a couple of decent results pushing us to within touching distance of the play off's have raised expectations. Are we expecting too much from what we have?

Who 4 months ago would have believed Sam Byram and Diouf would be our star players so far this season....

Morning all, looking at the team sheet last night i thought colin should have been playing tonge and white from the start, dont think he got the tactics or the team right last night, that said we really need to add some quality like we have all said all along, the squad is way too thin on the ground although we are only 6 points from the top, this division is tighter than a ducks arse !!!!!!!!

    Morning All,

Think Diouf is having the same problem that Snoddy had - only creative spark in the team, so he gets double or triple marked out of the game. We're too easily covered. If we had a 'bright spark' on both wings, we'd be less easy to snuff out. And last night we had an untried winger on the bench that may have been that vital spark for us.

One other thing from last night that no-one's mentioned. Charlton came out early for the second half & had the whole team doing short sprints to waken them up for the start. I was worried when I saw this & I was right to worry. We were still drinking our half time cuppa when they scored 5 minutes later.

Quite right. And we definitely aren't in a position to be taking teams lightly in this league, including the teams near the bottom.

All in all, last night wasn't great. Not sure why Tonge & White didn't start. Did Tonge have much of a pre-season? Had he played much footy before coming to us? Don't think we'll see Varney again for a while. Would like to see Hall start to give us a bit of width as much as anything else. I'd also like us to pass it round more. 14 or 15 passes for the goal on Saturday, yet we could barely string two passes together last night.

Stayed up (again) to listen to the poor performance. In the stats they had more possession than us, not acceptable at ER. NW has to change it around, and i beleive he will, he is starting to get on Becchio's case and he will be having suttle words in certain ears before Brum City come. The most annoying thing was alot of the results went our way, we could have been in 4th spot today BUT we must keep the faith in NW he will turn it around. MOT

absolutely the worst performance Ive ever seen and the worst crowd and atmosphere Ive ever seen.

Charlton where shocking and we where worse.

Byram had a free header from a smart move but thats about it.

Brown slowed everything down and passed back all the time truly ****. Becchio won **** all and needs dropping.

the subs where awful why he changed like for like when we where doing **** all ill never know.

Price cannot be used as an excuse for last night 17 thousand when tickets are 20 quid

GFH need to put up or **** off
