Understatement of the year from Chris Hutchings "We're going through a bit of a lull at the moment" No s**t Sherlock - we haven't won at home since March &.... Marcus Evans is out of the country at the moment
Talk sport says they believe Jewell has gone but not confirmed, guys i think he has gone but may not be announced until tomorrow, if i'm wrong then my informers will be shot, trust me on that one!!
if he hasn't gone, I think I might shoot myself - would get 1 of the players to do it but they can only hit the target once in 90 minutes
Watching a DVD!!!! One of his home porno movies I reckon, the no good ****! Hoppers sorry but I went but I went straight into the SBR! The stewards wouldn't let me in with my banner!
This is like a panto, I mean whether he's gone or not. PJ should have faced the press or they should have had a representative of the club say there will be a press conference tomorrow morning. Clearly there must be more to what Hutchings is saying and if there isn't and PJ really is watching a DVD and Evans is out of the country this is actually ridiculous!! Someone turn the light out please!!
We cant even sack a manager properly, its a disgrace. WHERE IS THAT TWAT CLEGG DURING ALL THIS??? Our beloved club is being run into the ground and it seems like we can do nothing to stop it!!
It's a stand off... PJ won't resign because he loses his payout. Terrible to watch, it's like an old lame dog begging to be shot.
Still nothing concrete on if he's gone or not. A complete joke, I'm really hoping for something in the morning but it's just not going to happen. From the post match report...... "Paul Jewell said Town are paying the price for making the same mistakes after watching his side throw away a lead for the fifth game in succession" Yeah, you're right Paul, Town are paying the price by making the mistake of keeping you as boss week after week. Nobody in our team has scored more than two goals, two ****in' goals the whole season, ridiculous!!!!!!!!
I just checked Sky, BBC, Talksport and various others sources - and I'm afraid for you guys it's "as you were chaps" with no news of any impending firing squad/taxi for Jewell etc. The similarities between you now and us under Glenn Roeder four years ago are almost tangible and (for what it's worth) I feel for you - despite all the joshing and leg pulling.
On my return from yet another dire effortless display I listened in my car to the laughable events unfolding at our club. It is an absolute disgrace from top to bottom. Jewell never once got off his backside last night while his 'so called' team served up another pile of garbage. I am sick of it, a season ticket holder for 13 years I am almost at the point of cancelling my direct debit. Jewell should be sacked he has run out of ideas, can't stick to a single plan for more than 5 minutes and his substitutions are becoming increasingly bizarre. Evans appointed him so they should cough up the money to get him out and start again. The real worry I have is that the two 'leaders of our club' are incapable of selecting the right person and so we will go on from crisis to crisis ever downward. Evans on holiday? at best a joke at worst it shows a total lack of understanding of the situation. Jewell watching the DVD! I just don't believe it and if that is the best excuse they can give the fans who like me pay among the most expensive ticket prices in the league it is contemptible. I wholeheartedly agreed with much of what Mick Mills was saying last night on Radio Suffolk, Sir Bobby Robson must be turning in his grave at what is going on. Come on Evans shape yourself, faceless or not you have a lot to answer for despite your financial support, be ruthless and sack Clegg (where is he at the moment?) and sack Jewell and use all that management training crap your company sells and start to manage!
I stayed up well past my bed time last night to try and find out what was going on, with no such luck I went to sleep expecting some news this morning but lo and behold we are 'As you were' and although the dust has settled the confusion is still rife and quite honestly what ever happened last night someone needs to clear the air. The whole situation seems very pantomime or soap opera, my interpretation is that PJ knew the grilling he would get and sloped off to be alone and intends to resign to Marcus Evans in person (such is their apparent close relationship) rather than doing it in a post match press conference for ME to hear about later over the phone or online. I'm hoping this is the case anyway as however bad PJ has been he has always come across as a decent guy and even he can't imagine he is remotely wanted by the fans anymore.
just for tax purposes Supers! for what its worth, i can't see PJ being manager @ ITFC within the next 24hrs which is great, but i just don't have the faith that the right person will be appointed to replace him. Clegg will obviously be making sure that he covers his track and blame everybody else so he gets off scot free and still be in the job. One question, we keep concedeing late goals, some of this must come down to fitness of the players but i thought that Cleggy appointed ex-olympian steve williams to help with this, surely not another job for the boys is it cleggy? I want PJ out, but with that Cleggy needs to go as well before we stand any chance!
the way your club is run these days guru, i wouldn't bet against steve redgrave being appointed your new boss.
