Gallas was good in his first season, utterly **** last season and I'd basically written him off by the summer. Did very well at OT but apart from then he's been average to ****e so far this season. I can sort of understand why AVB wants to play him - he captains the side for us and Caulker must get something out of playing with an experienced player like Gallas - but even with the pace/mobility issues Dawson has I'd rather see him now. He's got more physical presence, is a great leader in the squad and Gallas is hardly 'athletic' these days anyway as Saturday showed us so it's not really much of a step down.

    We really miss Kaboul now.

Fraid so these days, although having Lloris behind him will help him, but still he has to be dropped IMHO.

I'm a big fan of Dawson, and while I agree that we miss Kaboul big time. stick Lloris and Daws in and I think our defence will look a lot better.

Dawson is class, I'd be so upset if we sold him in January not only because he's a great defender if he can get back to his best after his injury problems these last few years but also because he leads well and seems Spurs through and through. You can never, ever fault him for commitment and effort and while for some players this can merely hide a lack of talent with Dawson it only makes his talent show more.

All that said I still don't think he'd be in the starting lineup, for me I'd have Kaboul and Verts as first choice with Caulker and Dawson behind them. Gallas should be way, way behind in 5th place!

It was his injury record which put me off when we were linked in the summer. Think he's a solid defender but misses a lot of games!

As a neutral (though Tottenham are my 2nd favourite team) I think Tottenham will have to much for Southampton in an exciting open game. Spurs form in the main has been pretty good of late and I can see them dominating the midfield area were they are so strong. If Saints as they have done of late they could get hammered but I do think they will tighten up a bit and Tottenham will take it 3-1. Tottenham need the win to keep up there push of the top 4 and Saints are desperete for anything they can get atm.

yeah i agree with you.I put 3-1 in the prediction thread.i don't think it will be 0-0,both teams defences are'nt good enough to keep each others strikers out all the match

A good chance we will be lead game on MOTD then! We have real problems at FB with at least three players definitely out injured! Your pace down the flanks is a major concern!

Not be lead match when theres chelsea vs man united and the merseyside derby on the same day. I just think with Tottenhams extra attacking prowess they will have to much. They should have Bale back and thats a massive boast and im sure he will be even more desperete to do well against his former side the centre of Spurs midfield is exceptional and all this without Scotty Parker which says it all. :D Should be a cracking day of football.

Lennon caused problems against the Chav's on Saturday,Cole couldn't handle him 1on1,and he's the best left back in Britain, probaby the world at the moment, and no one can handle Bale

Should be a great game to watch. Seen some great ones over the years. Only really poor one I can recall was back in 78 when we played out a goalless draw ar=t the Dell to ensure we both got promoted and Brighton didn't. Any of you old enough to remember that game?

I think Ramirez out will be another blow for Saints hopes, and they must start with Rickie Lambert for mine. No way should Adkins have him on the bench this weekend and bring him on with half an hour left as for all he knows it could be all but over by then.

Lennon is getting back to top form which is gd for club and country and ive been very impressed with Defoe so far this season I think he's relishing being the main man and also playing every week. With Bale, Lennon, Sandro, Dembele and Dempsey in midfield thats were the game will be won for Tottenham for mine. I feel a bit for Lloris who has done really well when called upon but you cannot drop Friedal who has been in inspired form. I love the two full backs for Tottenham to in Walker and BAE two fantastic attack minded fullbacks. Should be a cracker come Sunday.

Well i've been supporting Spurs for well over 50 years, so I think I might

Typical though of those days, that it wasn't on TV a game like that. I believe Soton hit the post a one stage.

I do remember going down the Dell about 1970, and we drew 1-1 I think, Gilly scoring for us. That was a crazy ground, so small, but good for your home record I think.

I'm pretty sure we will drop Friedel, he hasn't been in inspired form at all, he leaks goals every time we play. He's nowhere near as good as Lloris, who really has been in inspired form.
