Trending on Twitter Doni is a fictional character used by FSG to make Liverpool more appealing. John Henry has been quoted "Everyone thinks Brazilians are good at footy so we thought we would boost our global appeal by adding a fictional Brazilian to the squad, it worked for a while but then fans got a bit annoyed that they have never actaully seen this Doni character".
When asked if FSG realized they already had a Brazilian on the books by the name of Lucas Leiva, Mr. henry was quoted as saying " I have yet to see his passport".

Two things... Holtby's family are Everton fans originally from Liverpool (well his dad is anyway) so I'm not sure how much he'd want to play for Liverpool. Haven't you been linked with David Villa long enough to know its not happening?
Just putting the rumors in! I saw that about Holtby but if we are to go by that logic then we should never have had Carra, macca, or fowler. I think owen as well.
Not really, You didn't buy any of them, they weren't going to give up a place in an academy were they? Doesn't mean it won't happen, I don't know who Holtby supports, just the media always link us to him thanks to his dad. I know he's spoke about admiring Arsenal a few times.

Carragher did to be fair. He left Liverpool's academy to go to Everton. But he saw how **** Everton's facilities and standards of coaching were so he made an excellent decision to go back to Liverpool.
Players can't really base who they support when making a decision on where to play, as the team they support might have no interest. Wasn't Dalglish a massive Rangers fan, but they had no interest so he went Celtic instead?
