Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeeeaaah!!! Chelsea really are making my average life seem fantastic at the moment. I wish I could erase my memory and re-live the last 6-7 monhts. I was at WHL (1st time) and the away support was amazing!! I love this club and I love the fans. Really great bunch and VERY VERY VERY underrated!!!! Unlike Arsenal and more so Spurs who just make noise, Chelsea's choire actually have at least a dozen different type of songs and do not just sing the same old one or two like a broken record (tell a lie...we do love our CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE! WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE! ) It was just fantastic and 2 days later I am still buzzing. To witness us conquer North London in a matter of months is very special. P.S I loved how we were throwing inflated European Cups about. Very fitting tribute against Tottenham. The lane was rocking and that was because the Chelsea support made it rock. CHELSEATILLIDIE!!!!
I've rarely missed a game at 3PL during a very long history ss a Blue, but I couldn't get a ticket for this one! I couldn't even watch it on CTV yesterday either due to having a houseful of visitors--so I can now relax and enjoy it today!
I searched ages and ages for the full 90min match replay online yesterday and after about an hour I found the clearest HD quality video ever. Bad thing was that the commentary was Russian. So what I did was find the match replay on BBC radio 5 iplayer and just synced the timings of both broadcasts, so the radio commentary was in tune with the video.
I was at WHL on Saturday and you're right. Our support was simply sensational for the modern era. I was in the lower tier and it was fantastic. Loads of chants, chucking about inflatable champions league trophies, completely outsung the spuds. I think we have some of the best away support in England. It's up there with United, Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal, Leeds and probably Sheffield Wednesday! We seem to sell out every game and we make a lot of noise. Swansea the other week sold out in 8 minutes! WBA this morning sold out in just under 20 mins! Our away support is great. 'You stupid bastids, you burnt your own town!'. Love it!
Hahaha even Victor Moses got an appreciation song, so much that he left Sturridge and Bertrand to run back up so he could milk our appreciation even more. Funny stuff.
Gullit --I've just finished watching it on CTV. FAN- bloody -TASTIC!!!! Mata was magic in a great match which could easily have ended up 8-4 to us! Poor old Nando will never get closer to getting on the score sheet! The camera panned across a swathe of Spuds supporters towards the end and they all looked like they were at a funeral! Poor old Spuds!!
Get in!!! Only thing better than seeing the poor Arsenal faces after a hammering is seeing the Spuds faces. I never did get to see thier faces during the Spuds fire drill at Wembley So happy for Mata who is well on his way to Zola status and Drogba big game status. Glad he made that sad bird faced plonka Walker eat grass after kicking the ball at him.
Forgot to mention Mikel! He never stands out in a crowd usually , but he looked well on top of his game on Saturday!
