Good Morning Everyone, A 1-1 draw at Hillsborough was marred by an idiotic few, don't want to dwell on it too much, just to say Warnock reckons it cost us all 3 points!!! Interestingly, whenever we don't kick off 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, we don't play all that well. We were poor and allowed Wednesday to come at us. Austin looked sluggish and should not have played, Kenny almost palmed the ball in his own net, White looked lost and without a position, didn't see Becchio on the ball and Diouf was marked out of the game. THEN WARNOCK BRINGS ON VARNEY , Really Colin, really?????.... It looks like cash is coiming in from somewhere allowing us to take a few players on loan. I cannotr understand why we have not been able to do this before, as apparantly we are one of only a few solvent clubs in the Championship, though on the flip side of the coin, people (generally) are talking about administation if the takeover does not happen. Was interesting to see the wums come out to play after the incident on Friday night, shame we could'nt show a United front, bickering between us isn't helping our cause. Why is this happening? It never used to!!! A home match for us tomorrow night against Charlton, who should start, and who should be dropped?
Morning all. Friday wasn't a good day. Firstly we played crap and let the wendies run us ragged, and almost lost the match. 2nd half much better but still too much long ball stuff. Secondly the idiot who has now been arrested, but why was he allowed to get on the pitch, and i'm sure the wendies will be fined for lack of stewarding. How did this tool get a ticket when he's been banned from football? so banning orders are not working are they. Thirdly, I thought Dave Jones comments were disgusting. Yes he was upset, but after being in charge of Cardiff for so long, pot and kettle spring to mind. We are never going to get away from our past and will always be seen in the same light as Milwall, Cardiff etc, when it comes to nutter fans, thanks to this idiot from Cheltenham who loves to be known as a football hooligan. He loves it but is still allowed in football grounds because the authorities can't police him. Maybe these thugs should be tagged so that the police will know where they are on match days.
Morning all. A por performance by Leeds United. But we all new that was on the cards. Our recent form vs Weds who had not won in 8 and lost last 3 at home, was always going to be a 'sods law' result. Minority put us in the news for the wrong reasons and at a time when the club needs to show what a wonderful investment it is. Shame on them and the weds chanting about Istanbul. Time to move on and get back to the football. Anyone know when members can buy tickets for Brighton?
Vs. Charlton i would drop Brown-not because i think he's done owt especially wrong, but at home against one of the division's weaker teams i think we have to be more positive. Kenny Drury Pearce Lees Peltier White (would actually prefer to replace him with Green if he could possibly play there) Austin Tonge Byram Diouf Becchio Think we'll win comfortably, 3-0 Austin, Becchio, Pearce
Morning all. I am guilty of bickering but only with Sheldon - tbh they rub more than a few up the wrong way on here. Constantly looking to pick fights and constantly talking down to people and generally putting a few members off posting. I shall do my best to make sure this is the last I say on the subject and avoid their posts...
Morning hooligans Just wondered how it took 5 minutes for Leeds fans to name and shame that idiot on Friday night (via twitter, facebook etc) but took the OB 3 days to arrest him?
ristac There is some tits on here (morning TC) and am not going to name names, but people like simon, just do it to be arkward
If another person here at my work brands all Leeds fans morons because of the small group of em I swear I'm going to jail!!!!!
We were poor against Wednesday, as we've already established. I was quite impressed with Tonge though - considering everyone expected him to be garbage, I thought he used the ball relatively well, he was positive and energetic and in the second half the vast majority of our play went through either him or Diouf. Not his best game by any stretch of the imagination but I thought he was our best player to be honest! Took his goal brilliantly as well Think he'd be more suited in a central role though, don't think he's quick enough out wide. Maybe drop Brown and bring Hall in out wide?
I don't think Varney has helped himself trying to be a Sheffield Wednesday hero and not applauding the Leeds fans, Majority of Leeds fans thought he was **** A big chunk where trying to give him a chance and hes gone and ****ed that one up for himself. Can see him leaving in January
I have had lots of heated debates with Simon, I like him though if I am honest, I admit originally I didn't, it took me a while to get used to his ways. He does seem to often have the opposite opinion to me but at least he doesn't talk down to people or put himself on a pedestal.
Doc, I think you can safely assume that along with a short prison sentence, he will be tagged & have to report to a police station on a regular basis around 3pm each Saturday or whatever day of the week we're playing. Kiwi, not sure why you'd drop Brown. He's the one genuine DM we've got. He put in a fair shift on Friday bespite being on the receiving end of what I would have been proud to have dished out on a rugby field. I agree with TC. It doesn't even have to be a rabbit punch. Any strong connection with the adams apple though, & it could well be terminal.... literally!!!
Alan Smith attacked by Huddersfield fan - No Punishment Clint Hill attacked by Sheffield Wednesday fan - minimal punishment Shane Lowry attacked by carlisle fan - minimal punishment Kirkland attacked by Leeds fan - Every single living person supporting Leeds can't go to another football match in the world ever for the next 2000 years
Morning all Stresses of work have kept me to just checking in on an evening and reading through threads for the last week or so. I think Charlton are the perfect opposition for us to really take the game to them and get back the momentum we obviously lost due to the wonderful international break. On Brown, he might have been on the recieving end on Friday, but he certainly dished out plenty of his own as well! I get what Kiwi is suggesting about maybe leaving him out in order to really attack though.
Morning one and all, so Kirkland got shoved in the face !! yes it should not have happened the guy who did it was a complete idiot for doing it, but talk about being blown out of all proportion its a joke it really is and Im with Kissa the next person who says we are all animals just might get proved right !!!
