The word 'intent' is very important and DOES matter

So what was he hoping to achieve by having his foot that high? Intent doesn't matter, it was a red. If someone is last man and they make an honest attempt to win the ball but don't, should they not be sent off because it was not their intent to foul the player?

Sure high foot is a yellow, Gardner had a similar situation two weeks ago at Man City and got Yellow, it was a foul and a yellow for me but mags calling for a red are just whining as Tiote got sent off.

Spot on SAFC83. Set up like a Brucie team and no conviction whatsoever. It says a lot that our best players were Rose, Gardener & JC, two fullbacks & a midfielder.

We had more shots than you, only one less on target, twice as many corners & less fouls, <ok>.

I'd go by the stats on Sky Sports mate since they did actually broadcast the game!

Sorry to say lads I think MO'N is proving to be what I've always thought in that he's not as good as he thinks he is. He is not taking you forward and his tactical nous, especially today was very poor.

He's utter gash and I thought he was immense until about 6 months ago. He hasn't got a clue anymore, football has changed even since his time at Villa.

He's a dinosaur of a manager just like King Kenny and Keegan, the prem has changed since O'Neill was last in it, teams just don't get it wide and throw crosses in anymore, teams attack in a patient, ball playing manner as shown by Swansea, Wigan, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Newcastle (when Pardew doesn't resort to long ball). Counter attacking football simply doesn't work against teams with the above style as they are not gung-ho, their attacking play is measured and they don't over commit meaning counter attacking football has such limited success.

The problem is Top, you come across as one of those people who try give the impression of being level headed yet your subtle little digs followed by the stand back gasp when you get the reply you are waiting for says more about you. Just like the guy who gets thumped after winding someone up and then plays the victim, this IMO is the worst type of bully.
