Away from the rather ridiculous scenes of last night, good to see Poleon score for Bury today. Unfortunately Thompson was sent off for a two footed tackle, the second time in his career already! Really hope he learns to curb his enthusiasm and stay on his feet a bit more. I'm all for a good sliding tackle if executed properly - but he's been sent off twice in less than 20 professional games, I do believe. Needs to learn, and quickly. Hopefully he will because I rate him Apologies if these two have already been mentioned, I haven't been on in a while and I really can't be bothered to read through all the threads created in my absence!
Nice to talk about football. Not convinced by either of them really, but at the least a good loan spell will make them marketable commodities. btw, anyone surprised @ how poor Austin was last night? I like him an awful lot, but he was clearly miles away. That's why we need to see more of Green and Norris; relying too heavily on Rudy will see that sort of burnt-out performance a lot more often.
I'm a big fan of Poleon, rate Thompson too. Agree Jake, he clearly wasn't fit or in the right frame of mind.
How long have they gone out on loan for, the season or until January? Poleon could become more than a very handy player come January if it is only till then. I would have liked to have seen him come on yesterday in place of Becchio who had a very poor game, could have maybe sneaked it.
I'd be more than happy to have him in and around the squad, but he definitely needs some competitive game time first. Going to Bury will be good for him, hopefully he can score some goals and come back hungry and ready to have a bigger impact for us
Good for Poleon who will clearly benefit from his loan spell. Thompson really needs to learn the art of staying on his feet & easing forwards out to the wings, rather than diving in.
