Probably deserved when I read back over that - although I did mean the particular group of maniacs who were surrounding me at that point, rather than everyone who is on the dole.
Nowt wrong with being on the dole. I used to work in the jobcentre when Norman Lovett was 'between jobs'. Being a geeky Red Dwarf fan I was a wee bit awestruck when I had to interview him about jobs. Can you imagine? Me having to ask a bloke who starred in one of the best comedies ever what he had been doing that week to find work By the way, some of the ****s who work in jobcentres are bigger scumbags than some of the ****s who sign on.
Ive never claimed benefits... never had to. But I was pissed off that my parents never claimed what they were due... after 50 years of working, especially when my Dad was ill.
Some of the staff in the jobcentre when i was on the dole were terrifying. Walking examples of inbreeding/mutant genes, you had to spell most words out to them and help them use their software.
I went to one of these back to work program things, it was horrible ... A middle aged Indian woman telling us that we should take any job going etc regardless of our skills/experience.. A woman put her hand up and said she needed to use the toilet, the Job centre nazi told her that there were no facilities and if she left the building to use the public toilets that she would be marked as absent and her allowance would be stopped.... No wonder they have about 10 security guards at the office in Stratford...
My mate was on the dole for so long they ended up forcing him to take a job...at the dole office. Maybe they all got their jobs like that and that's why they're so bitter? Went on a back to work course too. This bloke nicked the petty cash tin (used to pay us our travel expenses) then the next morning came along where a few of us were waiting outside and said something along these lines "anyone who says I nicked the petty cash is lying and is only saying it cos I'm black so **** off". At that point none of us knew it had been nicked.
My wife gets carer's allowance and we get middle rate DLA for my son (though we should get higher rate, will have to appeal it). We also get child tax credits and child benefit. Quite a lot in total.
Thank **** someone else shares my opinion of this over rated pish, one of the worst comedy shows ever. And Craig Charles is a massive twat.
Red Dwarf was over rated, but it did have it's moments. I liked it. I watched the first episode of the new series launched earlier this month. Am not in a rush to watch any more.
I tried to give it a chance after loads o my pals raved about it as if it was the holy grail of comedy, was most disappointed.
It only appeals to the intelligent and sophisticated. Best you and ER stick to repeats of Last of the Summer Wine
First few series of Red Dwarf was good then it went down hill... especially when they got the burd in it! RD X ... **** me, piss poor!
