If you could go back in history and be a spectator at any sporting eventy in history which one would you choose and why. Bear in mind you can't change the result so anyone who says "I'd go back to the 1989 title decider at Anfield and run on the pitch and deck Michael Thomas" isn't allowed. Well it is because i'm not a Nazi (well only at weekends in my special club) and will let people post what they like.

I would go back to the 1932/33 Australia V England Ashes series. Any sporting event that caused the aussies so much dismay that there was serious talk of pulling out of the empire has to have been worth seeing.

Id probably go for rocky v clubber lang II,im not sure of the date but i remeber watching it on the telly when i was a kid and it was a hell of a fight.
.Clubbers career went down hill after that fight but up untill then he wss an animal.looking back it probably broke the mans spirit knowing how many times he unloaded on rocky but still couldnt finish him.
Surely one of the greatest sporting events ever,i can only imagine what the atmosphere would of been like
My uncle was lucky enough to of been there that night and he told me it was amazing.
Spent many happy hours listening to him telling us about that famous night and would love to have seen it myself.

    Any Ali, ever.

They were on my list as was Hagler v Hearns. I'm interested that of those who have responded nobody's said a massive match for their club. Watford neevr really had any massive games before i was born so I couldn't really mention them <wah>
