Jacko the team Captain and a goalscorer or Kerkar a more orthodox winger who is unpredictable even to himself! Who should start against the Tykes? You know what to do? AllHell
I think jacko is now seen as a central midfielder, so the question is will he replace Hollands. I'd be surprised that if JJ is 100% that he won't start. I think Powell has some old school manager traits, and one being if your captain is fit, he starts.
Jackson will be in the middle and Hollands will drop to the bench as previously seen. AH that's how it will be ;-)
For years we've wanted to see JJ in the middle, and as soon as The Doctor puts him there he gets injured, but not before showing us that's where he belongs, so the question could have been who does he replace, Hollands, Stephens or Razak?
Kerkar on the wing, Jacko's role in the team has to be in the middle now - he's also proved he can find the back of the net in this league as well - seemingly from anywhere in midfield so if we can keep Kerkar and Green out wide who look more of a threat there and Jacko in the middle with his goal threat I think we'll have the right balance. It's just then really a case of Jackson or Hollands and I thought Hollands v Blackburn had a great game.
Our midfield all seem happier playing 4-5-1. Someone said the fans don't want 4-5-1 especially at home, well this fan does because it means we've got more chance of winning, just think of the Watford game(4-4-2).
Sadly I have come to the view that neither JJ nor Hollands are good enough at this level. Shame cos I like them both a great deal.
Sadly I agree with you about JJ he's just not good enough for this level and I think SCP has some tough decisions to make now. JJ has been the captain and leader of the squad for some time now and during our 101-points season no-one can ever take that away from JJ but I just don't think he can justify a starting place in the team anymore and I think SCP may have to review JJ's role in the team. Hollands I still think is capable of playing at this level it's not easy when we don't retain the ball long up front that the opposition keep coming back at us, I thought he had a great game against Blackburn the other week we just need to give him some help keeping the ball more up front.
