Funny you should mention that Wubba...a fair few seasons ago we went to the away match at the Hawthornes, and based entirely on a Jasper Carrott joke/long winded tale I made the way to the "cowing bovril" outlet.....it was an exqisite experience...best ever footy-based drink. The cost of cowing bovril was not sampled in this report...but based on a sample size of one...I bet WBA's is the best (but wonder if Birmingham City's is better)
Fair comment Beth. Its not always price related, quality has a part to play too. Wigan's season ticket is v cheap granted but I'll wager you'll see a better class of footballer and thus an enhanced level of skill displayed for a mere £25 quid more at City. However should one be so (un)fortunate as to be born a Wigan supporter then this fact has little or no bearing at all as you wouldn't want a City season ticket for all the Bovril in Haydock. Barnsley do a nice steak & kidney pie, where nowadays the latter ingredient is sadly missing at most grounds.
Our 'Most Expensive Match Day Ticket' is £55? I am sure that is not right. Don't they go up to £70 for big games? Anyone got a programme to hand?
I was born there 28 years ago. Hasn't it been destroyed since? I imagine you would be sitting in row ZZ in the corner behind a 3 meter wide support beam at city for that price?!? good value no doubt though
Don't know where you are in it, but we're the most expensive "cheapest" season ticket in the Championship, costing around £100 more than I paid for my season ticket...
