    Amongst the following clubs:

    Arsenal
    Manu
    Man city
    Chelsea
    Liverpool
    Spurs
    Newcastle (sorry forgot about them but they do have quality!)

    Meanignless but i was getting bored! Many may say liverpool for weakest but i reckon allen lucas and gerrard is pretty decent.

    Edit:
    Midfield includes positons attacking midfield central midfield and defensive midfield.

    Hmm tough call for manu considering scholes and kagawa are pretty dynamic. Plenty of grit but lack a bit of creativity imo. I would currently put them ahead of spurs though thats bcse i rate kagawa pretty highly.

    Well so far, he has hardly done anything special. Neat and tidy but he has yet to show his Dortmund form. Spurs with Sandro and Dembele as the midfield base are very strong in there.

    Yeah but i think he will take time to adapt. Lucas and allen will work well together though and i place them above sandro and parker so i would personally place liverpool higher than spurs. Tbh though to an extent a midfields true ability is comaflaged by inability of strikers and thats what i believe is the case with pool.

    Full strength? What are we classing as midfield? Wingers and Attacking midfielders included?

    If so...

    United - Carrick, Cleverly, Nani, Rooney*/Kagawa, Valencia
    City - Barry, Milner, Yaya, Silva, Javi Garcia
    Chelsea - Lampard, ramires, Hazard, Mata, Oscar
    Arsenal - Arteta, Wilshire, Cazorla, Diabi
    Tottenham - Dembele, Bale, Lennon, Sandro, Parker
    Liverpool - Gerrard, Sahin, Allen, Sterling, Shelvey

    The best 4 or 5 midfielders from each. If wingers are not included and AM are not either then United are around the middle behind Arsenal and Spurs.

    * Rooney is playing as a midfielder for us, bloody good as well.

    Considering the formation most teams play im not including wingers though attacking midfielders are included. Yes full strength implying long term absnetees such as fletcher and wilshere are included

    I would put Chelsea bottom if we are just doing CM no other positions.

    Liverpool behind Spurs though, Spurs have actually done something.

    And with CM's only, you still think United are top?

    Edit - Already answered.

    Hmmm. I think and this is my opinion that Cleverley and Nani are rather average players. The team that I really think has a very strong midfield is Chelsea.

    Nani is out of form, when hes playing well hes very good. When hes on top form hes one of the best players about. The Nani of January 2010 to the end of the next season was arguably the best player in the league. Should of won POTY. Hes not really average. Just well off form, like really really off form.

    Cleverly is decent enough, needs to step up is game to the next level to prove himself at United though.

    Cazorla is way better than Kagawa
    Arteta is way better that Carrick
    Wilshere is way better than Cleverly
    Diaby is as good/average/inconsistent/poor as Nani

    If Rooney is a midfielder now then Podolski is a midfielder too.

    I think one needs to be a Man United fan to think their midfield is the best.
    I agree it is 4th behind Arsenal, ManCity and Chelsea

    Cazorla>Kagawa
    Arteta>Carrick
    Wilshere>Cleverly
    Gervino=Valencia
    Walcott=Nani
    Diaby=Fletcher

    The only thing that keeps Manunited going though, is that I think they play better as a unit than Arsenal manage to do on most times, though at the same time that is something Arsenal have massively improved on this season, hopefully we can keep it going.

    Opposition fans have the impression of Arteta that we had a couple of seasons ago, but after watching him closely for Arsenal, we all know the guy is so much better than Carrick. The best CM3 in the league would probably be Yaya-Cazorla-Arteta. Then you've got Wilshere pretty close to that. As for Diaby being worse than Fletcher, not a chance.

    ill try and be as neutral as possible

    cazorla>kagawa
    arteta=carrick
    wilshere>cleverly
    gervinho<valencia
    nani=walcott

    i feel arsenal have a better midfield but manu are stronger upfront.

    Really? Have some stats!

    Code:
    *League only	Tackles Interceptions	Pass completion (%)
    Mikel Arteta   	4.6	           2.4	                93.8
    John Obi Mikel	2.3	           1.7	                90.5
    Michael Carrick	1.4	           1.4	                88.8
    Mohamed Diame   3.6	           1.1	                84.1
    Cheick Tiote	2.5	           1.3	                82.4
    And if you need more than that, here's the article they came from: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...est-holding-midfielder-in-the-world-right-now

    To be fair I haven't kept up with manu much but if I'm not mistaken carrick plays a more advanced role than schools so it would be unfair to compare the two. Scholes and Arteta may be a better comparison.

    If this is the case,who is to blame for the position in the table arsenal find themselves in,already adrift of city & Utd neither of whom have played well at all so far?
