Ok Josh, here goes. When I replied last nite it was pretty late and I didn't have time to respond. Firstly, there are people on here who seem to think they are FOX News and GC is Mitt Romney. So let's address my posts properly and not just some cut and paste to distort what I said. In the beginning it was only investment talks as Bates wasn't entertaining a take over bid. So, if LUST say it was t/o from day one think again...and how would they know if GFH never spoke to them? As things progressed the talks turned to a buyout, and THAT'S when I said it's looking like a t/o...only to then be shot down with the good old "wolf wolf". That's the point I was making, my comment above did not say that I said a t/o from the start. Gosh, people are so quick to jump to LUST's defence it's unreal. I dislike propaganda and injustice, and simply cutting and pasting previous comments blindly to try and discredit someone is pathetic. The talks started as investment not take over, and as they progressed the parties started to investigate a buyout. That's what I've said all along, and if you follow what little official news came out you could probably figure that out as well. Just because LUST say it was t/o from day one doesn't make it so. This morning I received some interesting news about NW and transfers, but WTF, no point sharing it on here because it will all be rubbished, and then when it breaks publicly the LUST police will have selective memory issues and forget anything was ever said. Maybe I'll pass the info to GC so he can get something right for a change. You few 606ers I know, I'll text you what I've heard

Is that relevant? I ask because the two interested parties that LUST brought to the table seem to have long gone. I agree it was always a T/O and not an investment on the cards but when those T/O's have dropped away who is to say what the next group stepping up to the table have to offer. GFH might drop away and someone might come forward and offer Bates a cash injection and an investment that he accepts. It wouldn't suddenly mean Billy was right or LUST were wrong. While I believe the original offer was on a T/O not investment basis nobody can prove it was one or the other as nothing has been said, just that we now have a group NOT introduced by LUST trying to buy us.
I do not defend LUST in the same way I won't slate them. I respect them as they are trying to take action for change for something they deeply care about while I also think fans of a club aren't the best people to be spreading news as they get just as over-excited as the average fan when in fact its a pretty nothing story. As I said I have not been involved in this argument between you and Sheldon but it does appear you are way too quick to put things forward for it just to change the next day and inevitably you'll be right at some point
I don't think there is any apart from LUST stating that they introduced and were in contact with the original buyers, now LUST are questioning GFH and claiming they have only stepped forward in the last few weeks.

It's relevant because some people seem to be claiming that LUST have made everything up from the beginning, which would mean they made a pretty ****ing lucky guess out of the blue at the beginning of the whole saga.
I'm sorry mate, but you said it was "investment not takeover" right up to the point where it was revealed officially as a buyout and then claimed to be reliable now because you said it was a takeover not investment. Whether you're source is real or fake, right or wrong, you plain lied to try to win an argument.
You are supposed to be a moderator stop breaking his balls, or better still apply a bit of evenhandedness and pick up the equally bullshit claims of GC's two boyfriends on here. Why the **** are you all speculating again. NADA has happened to justify it.

Chaps, I think at times we all forget who we're dealing with. Bates is a slippery old sod & I'm sure he'll have been issuing misinformation just to embarrass people/check for leaks etc. There will also be genuine twists & turns, as you would expect in a complex negotiation such as this. So not everyone is going to be right all of the time, and for me there is no question of anyone trying to mislead us - BS or LUST or whoever has a source. They simply relate what their sources believe to be the latest facts. And we, the fans, are over-eager to hear any kind of news, whether it be fact or gossip. None of us are in a position to know which is which. We'll probably all know once the takeover is complete (or burned out). Quoting anyone can make them look silly or clever, depending on the context & how it's presented. Perhaps it's time to bury this squabbling among ourselves and accept the fact that we truly know bugger all in the grand scheme of things.
Where am I speculating? As a moderator I'm simply an ordinary poster with my own opinions, all that's different is that I try to make it a better place to post by stopping things stepping over the line, luckily a job which doesn't require much work on our board.

You're perfectly happy to shout down any comment that is in support of LUST, the difference is? I have no real problem with BS, but if he's going to go on about how LUST have been talking ****e the whole time (and I'm still waiting to hear how they managed to miraculously guess there was a takeover happening in the first place) and use his source as evidence then he should expect to be called up on that, whether that puts his posts in a favourable light or not.
