Watching the haggis eaters play reminds me of our days in League 1 - watching crap teams like Yoevil, Gillingham, Tranmere and Leeds!

Scotland are definitely ****, no doubt about that. But in mitigation, we're playing away, against the team expected to win the group at a canter, are so far drawing 0-0 after 55 mins (I've gone & said it now. Damn!!), should have had a penalty, and have had some good efforts on goal. Most surprising, tbh. A part of me was hoping for a 5-0 tanking, so we can get rid of that wastrel Levein.

Reminding me of Burnley v Leeds games. We are hammered and are rubbish, and then we score the winner in the last few minutes

2-0 but should be 4-0 - Vincent Kompany would look good in the Millwall back 4 - bye bye Levein!!

If any so-called Leeds fan supports Scotland or Ireland rather than England, they have no right to follow Leeds. End of.

Is this a new rule, or was it about when Billy Bremner was playing?

Actually, I've heard quite a few people on here post that it's Leeds that count, not england. Think it might even have been you, Exo! Must get Simon to check his dossiers!

To be honest, Leeds should just break away from the Football League and become an international team. Certain individuals would still support their home nations though.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

I'm club over country but I can't say that I always have been. I used to worship the English team but I don't even watch all of there matches now, I still support them but I have no expectation of them. England messed that up rather than Leeds overtaking though so I can certainly understand people wanting there own country to do well regardless of where they are from

Just read this thread, and to be honest gentlemen we need to look at our own under achievers before downgrading the jocks.
That was a pile of crap last night, wtf is that England manager thinking about???????
Cole was out of position time after time, was he thinking more about the lunchtime kick off at the weekend?
In midfield we could not string 3 passes together when we ventured over the half way line, Carrick was diabolical and is not an international.
We had Defoe up front on his own, the smallest striker England have, so lets send the high ball to him.....thats a no brainer to me.
Rooney covered all parts of the field and achieved little, ok so he scored.......yeah off his shoulder.
Poland are a third rate side and they exposed us on many occassions especially down Coles channel, and people say he is the best left back in the world, Baines must be well pissed off.
The best display on Englands behalf was the fans, and the FA and the players are going to give the ones who had to go home their ticket money back, ****ing big deal, that is like us tipping a taxi driver a quid in comparison to what they get, over paid bunch of under achievers.

I agree WhitesinDoha. I have never thought Cole was the best LB in the world and over the last couple years he has been pretty poor in truth.

This is what I meant when I said I have no expectations of England though, they are not good enough to beat poor teams, individually they are but not as a team

Utter rubbish, England cant beat the top teams when it comes to major tournments, thats it, against the poorer teams, they are normally ok.

Yes they were shocking yesterday, but Poland arent a bad side and they got a point

just about one of the top ten teams in the world

England will continue to go backwards, regardless of who manages them. The problem is the Prem being overstocked with players who don't qualify for England. There are not enough English players appearing in the Prem or Chumps Lge. To win a tournament you need at least thirty quality players to get you there, and then a quality squad to compete. Try this...pick your England starting eleven right now. Once you've decided your team, put those players to one side and pick your next eleven without any of your first choice players in. What does that team look like? Can they compete in a major tournament? When Germany can bring game changers like Podolski and Klose off the bench, when Spain can have David Silva and Fabregas in reserve...well, that says it all really. England have good young talent, but not enough of these lads go on to play regularly at the top level, as clubs seem convinced its better to sign foreign players. As long as this continues England will fail to improve at International level, and it will only be a matter of time when they become like Scotland, who once had a competitive team.
